Hey Tony thanks for getting back to me. Yea, you're up in God's country and deep snow country too! lol I use to love snowmobiling up there years ago! I sell Kubota and showed your tire trick to people I work with. I think they should make the R4 that way in the first place! Keep up the videos, great job!

Very nice/clean job, it actually looked very nice almost wish they sold a tire like that. I currently use Carlisle WT300 tires on my Kubota bx 2379 and they are just amazing tires all year round.. they are like an R4 but the plugs aren’t as tall which allows the rest of the tire to touch the ground easier to provide more tractor on snow or ice.. aside from that they also have curved lug edges and little tread strips in-between each lug which provides additional traction. I really like these tires and have 1 full winter on them and 300 hard worked hours on them, they are the same size and ply rating as the oem tires. These tires are also cheaper to buy than both R4 and turf tires and offer a perfect amount of traction that is right between an R4 or turf.. they also look mean and still look like a tractor tire. Check them out sometime! Maybe you’ll wanna buy those instead next time you need front or rear tires

Nice job on the video, yes those R4 tires stink in the snow.

Nice I wish I had access to a tire grover. If I realized how bad the R4 tires are I would have got R1 tires. The R4 tires do more damage because they spin on wet grass dry grass and certainly are worthless in mud and dirt

You can buy one for under $100

Hi there great video, I have a BX 2370 myself. I have turfs and I just put the chains on mine yesterday. I have a plow on mine, but the loader is in the garage too in case I need to relocate some of my piles. lol You mentioned Northwest Pennsylvania , I live in New Castle where are you located?
@tonyfanelli4578 жыл бұрын
Hey Jay....thanks . I'm up near Warren.... I just finished up my last loader project, so I'm going to be switching over to the plow here soon. I have the same plan with keeping the loader handy if I need to move some piles. Working on coming up with a dolly to make that switchover a little easier. If I come up with a good plan, I will do a video on it. Thanks again for the comment....

so once the Grooves fill up with snow..Then what?
@nocoolname323 жыл бұрын
thats the point. snow sticks to snow. sipes in winter tires do 2 things. provides edges to grip ice, and pack with snow for better snow traction. a little knowledge free of charge and worth what you paid for it.

That's how snow tires work

I have never had a problem with that kind of tire I have a Kubota BX 2370 and the tires go thru snow like nothing have 50"blower on frount and 5 foot back blade
@jameshale56846 жыл бұрын
Steve smith now I don’t know which tire to get, turf or R4. Would you expect traction issues with R4 on steep driveway in snow? If it were not for snow I think I would get R4. I plan on front mounted snow blower.

Well, there goes your 60,000 mile warranty.
@gerryclark43305 жыл бұрын
That won’t make any difference in snow or ice. Better to buy screw in studs for the front and chains for the back

Old Gerry the arm chair quarterback! I can tell you it does make a difference.

@@nickg2366 yup, im sure most people would love a studded and chained up tractor on their concrete driveway haha. peanut gallery chiming in.

Just put the chains on and quit ruining a good pair of tires.

BX fronts have zero strength anyway so I'm sure removing rubber killed them.
