Kubota Compact Tractor Finish Mower Repair
In this video I will be changing the blades and making a few repairs to a land pride finish mower. The repairs are really strati forward, and they are needed after years of mowing about 5 acres of fled grass.
The Land Pride FDR1660 Finish Mower on my Kubota B2150 Compact tractor, works very well, I have also used it behind my Kubota L3200. This is a great mower for felt grass, or even a lawn is you have turf tires on your tractor. Looking good! Enjoy!

The blades look good just sharpen them.

I did not sharpen the blades because the owner of the mower did not want them sharpened, he had them on the mower for over 5 years. The figure for the cost it was just easier to replace them and get another 5 years out of the mower. I gave him the old blades back if he want to ge them sharpen later.

Why go through all the trouble with the come along to take a lawn mower blade off when you had an impact in the shop

As much as I enjoy your narration in your other videos, this was cool to have a bit of change up. Very high quality resolution and great lighting.. But curious why you didnt just sharpen the old blades? And what did you have to straighten out and what were you torching? LOL

As for the stratining, the upper support arm was bent form backing the mower into something in the garage that the mower is stored in. I was not torching that is just a big breaker bar that i use to get big bolt on and off with.

What temperature were you looking for when you were heating up the tire shaft? Were the zerks holes already tapped or did you do that off camera. We see you drilling them out but not tapping the holes to receive the zerks. I am asking because I need to do the same modification on mine.

The Temp i was watching for is 797F to 1202F structural steel begins to soften around 797F and loses about half of its strength at 1202F. As for the zerks they were broken off I had to remove the peace left inside the hole, that is what i was drilling, and then I just installed new ones.
