Thx for the video. Im looking to get one of these for my property. We have quite a bit of bouldering to do with 2x3 and 3x4 boulders over here in Utah "rock retaining walls"..was wondering your thoughts on this machine specifically for that kind of application? Appreciate any help..thx again Could send a photo if that would help.

The 3x4 boulders do you have a approximate weight. I have handled rock's that large, sometimes they are a little hard to hang on to depending on shape.

Curious if you've run the Takeuchi TB-235 or TB-240, and how it compares?

I have never been around a Takeuchi. So I have no input. I think they are good machines but I have no experience with them. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀

I have been very happy with the 040's, I had 121's before the 040's came out. They were very good machines, but I definitely like the 040's better.

Hey man great video!! I’m just curious, why do you like steel tracks over rubber tracks?
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 4 ай бұрын
Thank you. The steel last much longer, have better traction, have better flotation. And give better stability because of the added weight. I have gotten over 5000hrs out of a set of steel tracks. For the type of work I do, they work very well. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful evening 😀

@@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 that’s awesome. I didn’t realize they lasted that long. That’s fantastic. What’s the cost difference between the two?
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 4 ай бұрын
@bcamguy-1357 the cost difference I don't know. I always buy the machine with steel and don't price the rubber.

Excellent points to consider. I'm just a homeowner so hard for me to justify a 040. I'm curious if theres is an older 8-10k class excavator you would recommend looking at? I definitely not afraid of finding one needing some work

The older 121-3s are a excellent machine, that is what the 040's replaced. I have owned 3 of them, and I had very good reliability with them. Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful weekend 😀

Why have you been through two before this one? Did they break on you, wear out or what? If they're so great, why don't you still have your original rig? I'm not trying to be antagonistic at all. We're just looking at buying one and trying to learn all we can about them. Many thanks!

They both were excellent machines, both had about 2000 hours and my dealer made me offers I couldn't refuse to step into new machines. My current machine I plan on keeping much longer. My 121's I usually traded in between 4000 to 5000hrs. I have had zero problems with the 040's

I thought if you put the blade in the front and down on the ground it stabilizes it.
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873
@jeramyreberpuredirt7873 Жыл бұрын
When digging I usually keep it behind me. Infront it's in the way and if you are digging hard material having it down behind you it allows you to put much more down force on your work and gives more counterweight on the rear. I know that goes against what most say but that is what I have found. Thank you for watching and have a wonderful day 😊
