Randomly discovered this gem of a band while visiting my brother in Seattle at the Nectar Lounge. Such upbeat and positive energy. So nice to see them at the tiny desk.

I've been trying to following Kuinka ever since I saw them in Fresno (Sequoia Brewing Company) a few years back. At the time, I think they were called Br'er Rabbit or Wild Rabbit. They played "Grace" and it was stunning. It's good to seem them on NPR.

I saw this and I was confused because Kuinka means how in finnish. Well i had to google this band and yeah they mention it themselves on their website. Thats so cool as a finnish person to find out that someone names their band to a random finnish word. :D

Please pick Hobo Johnson. I don't know why, but I just got introduced to him a few hours ago, have watched all his videos, and think he deserves some exposure. I hope you consider giving this dude a chance cause his music is so catchy and relatable and he's a dude with such a hard life (from what he talks about in his songs and the look of his "home".) That's all.

I'm honestly disappointed. I've been waiting for this band to get a tiny desk concert for a while, as they've submitted to the annual contest a few times. I've seen them live, and loved them. I was so hopeful they'd play "Gold" or "Howl", or just about anything off their Kickstarter album, pre-name change (they used to be Rabbit Wilde), but no. The last song is most similar to that album's style, but not as good, in my opinion. What a bummer.
