I have a Segway MIni Pro and love that it can go somewhat off road (campared to a balance board) but your unicycles with bigger wheels handle way crazier terrain and looks like changing wheels is way more encouraged / the ecosystem is way more friendly to modification than the Segway setup. Very cool! Didn't know this was even a sport :)
@KujiRolls4 жыл бұрын
Yes, ironically with one wheel you can do much more crazy terrain, higher speeds, and with more stability. The Segway Mini was the vehicle that got me into all of this in the first place. Now id never go back.
@travisminneapolis4 жыл бұрын
What affordable wheel (not competition but still good range and capability) would you say is good? Any older models or used you recommend as bang for the buck?

Inmotion v8, gotway mten3, and kingsong 16s are the best decent cheap wheels. You can probably find them cheap from someone looking to upgrade.

@@KujiRolls I am thinking about learning how to ride one (thanks for the howto video!) to complete "the last mile" on my daily commute (I use the subway for about 45 minutes, about 22km, which I don't expect to change). Currently I am trying to cover this distance riding a Mobike (if I manage to find one), but I think it would be much faster and practical (and cool!) to use a unicycle instead. Do you have any recommendations? Maybe on unicycles for beginners or safety tips, that would be helpful :)
@KujiRolls5 жыл бұрын
@@georgH Well, it depends on a few things. First, weight. If youre less than 200lbs: The cheapest decent wheel that i would recommend is the inmotion v8 its the wheel i spent the most time on and i still love it. If youre over 200lbs... maybe the inmotion v10f, kingsong 16s/16x/18xl, gotway tesla/mcm5/msx. theres just so many good wheels to choose from. If you get one of these "heavier weight" wheels they often go faster and for longer distances. i recommend not exceeding 20mph until youve put on at least 500 miles on it.

How do they regulate the machines? Was it unlimited? I would think expensive rigs with high powered motors and knobby tires win
@KujiRolls4 жыл бұрын
Nah, EUCs are mostly about tradeoffs. High powered wheels = heavier and less agile. Knobby tires = great on grass, but shitty on the street. And id totally encourage people to mod the shit out of these wheels. itll only make them better (like F1 racing). The only rule is that you get one wheel configuration for all the races.

My first real unicycle!(first one was a cheap plastic one as a kid kzbin.infoUgkx4e2fa6x27dF7shCelntq0ZIKt4N0jELI I never learned to ride)So, this is a true learner, and for a C note, exactly what was needed. After a few weeks, I'm able to easily ride up and down the street. The Good: Solid frame. Has absorbed numerous spills through learning and still solid. Look - great looks, after 6 weeks of bashing Weight - it's really all tire, but as I fall I can easily grab the seat so it doesn't slam the ground. Size - Very adjustable. I'm 6', 33" inseam. I put it mostly up, but could go a bit higher if I needed to. The Bad: Not sure if it's out of the norm, but seat got scraped up quickly. Pedals - they are a bit uncomfortable and I can't get the right feel on my feet. But, they are solid and haven't been damaged at all as I've seen in reviews on other cycle's.- To address one comment about the seat connection not straight. Huh? Seat is on a round pole, you just turn it and it's straight. Either of the bad I expected to replace once I improved. I'd recommend to anyone else in the learning phase.
