Kujo these are some of your most helpful videos ever! You should consider making more, they're so good!

Just BRILLIANT!!! (In fact, I've just pledged the (miserly!) sum of five dollars a month to show my appreciation and support to you and your channel. You combine an obvious talent with a witty and educational presenting style, and I always take something away from your videos. Although I paint almost exclusively in 28/32mm Historical, I really like your videos and I'm happy to offer a small pledge if that helps you in your efforts.) xx SF
@KujoPainting5 жыл бұрын
That's very kind of you, thanks very much. $5 is definitely not miserly, every little helps, if everyone pledged just a dollar I'd be able to hire someone to do the editing for me and ramp up the output. But I doubt that will happen! I'm glad you get something out of the videos, that's why I do them. Thanks again. :)

This was YOUR "girl"? I loved this particular critique video. Gotta say, Kujo really tailored this critique to a high level painter. She was beautiful before, you did a super nice job; he just "tweaked" it to put it over the line from "extremely good" to "absolutely amazing". Did you use his suggestions? You're very talented!😉💜😁

Really nice work and a good explanation of the way light effects objects surrounding it. Kujo Painting absolutely. As a painter you can get to a point where know all the techniques and can execute them perfectly but still find something wrong with your finished piece and not know why.

For sure, techniques are just tools, knowing what to do with them is the real tricky bit.

Kujo: may I share a Video Suggestion I think would get a lot of views & interest... I just shared this video and your main "theory" video on NMM with a friend who put a TON of time and energy and careful brush work into a curved, funky, sword-scythe thing. I felt bad for him, he'd put in super uniform highlights and PERFECT edge highlighting all the way around, and it looked flat out terrible. Anyway, you have SO MANY EXCELLENT NMM videos...but how about one SPECIFIC to various blades, swords, and sharp things? This critique video is actually the closest I think you have to THAT SPECIFIC topic, besides the main NMM Video? I went back through your videos, couldn't find others that really focus on how light bounces off sharp, shiny swords and things. You have them (I KNOW), but parts specific to swords are more "embedded" in other, longer videos. Just a thought. NO ONE explains NMM as well as you do!!💙💙💙💙💙

Love the advice you share in all your vids, keep up the great work, you're an asset to all miniature painters! Little tip for you...Try using a wacom tablet, or any other tablet when using photoshop...it's much easier to edit things and will probably speed up the process for you ;) Cheers!

@@KujoPainting I completely understand...I feel the same about the amount of miniatures i buy lol. Maybe shoot WACOM a message? They may send you one to try pro bono. If not, they're not terribly expensive, and if you continue with the Kujo critiques (which i highly recommend, there is nothing else like them on YT) i think you will appreciate it as a tool like you would a new deadly paintbrush. Cheers..thanks again for your commitment to teaching the craft :)

Question i know i am not a patreon but i am hoping you or somebody will answer this. Often when we paint faces we split them into three color zones yellow red and blue. However nobody ever talks about the body. Does the body have similar color zones or is it only the face and with the body its just normal highlighting and shadowing with no color zones?
@KujoPainting5 жыл бұрын
This is a great question, so great I don't know the answer to it. Usually it's explained in a portrait context in order to get a more lifelike colour to the face, but I honestly don't think I've ever seen it applied to the whole body. I'll try and find something on that for you, I'm intrigued to see if there's anything on that myself. Thanks for the question, and sorry for not being able to answer it.
