There will be no season 2, when they were looking for Zhao (the actress) she thought she will be acting the whole 3 books of novel, yet up until when they started filming she got told it’s only one and a half of the content and the other half is where the character grows so Zhao was disappointed in this decision and was not aware of this before she agreed to act. During the process of filming, the mistreatment from the cast group to Zhao was also horrible, and many things afterwards made her very unlikely to agree to act season 2. Not only the matter of actress, there are also other reasons as to why there is no season 2 as after all, it’s not just the matter of Zhao no longer gonna be the female lead if there was a season 2. But when the 2 actors collaborated again for this drama, they tried their best to make a better conclusion, like how Yu Wenyue (male lead character from Princess Agent) finally got dragged out from the water after being in there for so many years😂 I guess this is the best conclusion for the two actors.
