Let me share my experience, once i tried using kal as Sole healer, no Mon2 deployed and her target is only 1 operator, kinda forgot who. Then come wave with several range enemy along with some hard hitter. the range can hit kal and at the same time the hard hitter hit the tank. Amazing editing too it looks nice.

This video is phenomenal beyond words! I can definitely imagine my early player self eating this advice up. I will say, though - I'd argue that the Hexer archetype can also be quite useful to new Doctors due to Hexers being a source of Arts damage and having the widest range in the game at five tiles, making them flexible and reliable. Granted, there are currently only three hexers (Gnosis, Shamare, Pramanix), and they may not be a 'necessity' due to their scarcity and higher rarities, however I feel like they at least deserved an honorable mention. All three are great in their own rights and would definitely give much support to newer Doctors. • Gnosis is one of if not the best crowd-control dealer that amplifies allies' damage and stops enemies completely in their tracks. • Shamare has huge ATK and DEF debuffs and both of her skills are viable for usage. She's very friendly towards new players in terms of difficulty usage. • Pramanix applies large DEF, RES and ASPD debuffs which helps new players to dish out and tank more damage - and she can attack two enemies at once at E2! I'd also like to mention that Kafka is a very new player friendly Executor, second only to Gravel; Kafka requires absolutely zero investment (and I mean *zero*, many recommends to just have her at E0 LVL. 50 for lower DP costs), and her burst of Arts damage alongside with the Sleep debuff can really help out new players in a pinch. I would bring up Ayerscarpe and the fact that he has more controllable and higher overall DPS than Lappland, however her Silence debuff is without a doubt an amazing addition that pushes him off the edge. I'd also mention that Wandering Medics have great merit - the Berries in particular - due to their wide healing range and their future relevance in later chapters due to Elemental Damage. Besides that, though, I agree with all the things you've said so far! Great job, Kukki!

@Cykk02 жыл бұрын
thing with the dreadnaught branch is this is probably the first branch that you would fully replace with a different branch. Usually a Musha or arts fighter would be a superior replacement. However, it is reccomended to build melantha as a low investment until you get units of the alternate branches. As where DP generating is a problem, Melantha's low DP can still come in clutch in some cases. but is skippable if you already rolled into an arts fighter or musha guard. (NTR is limited so may not be an option to everyone) also, Lava 3* might be one of the units that you'd get the longest use out of, as she beats out all the 4* alternatives because of her high initial SP on deployment, allowing her to be a deployed at more flexible timings, which is an issue for other AOE casters cause of their high DP cost and SP cost, and well, 4* shirayuki S2 kind of makes any other AOE casters less relevant. (While Dusk is the best representation of what this branch needs, she is limited.)

Or simply tell them to build bunch of 3* operators actually doesn't solve the problem. Again, Arknights not only tower defense game but resource management game as well. So having an actual direction on resource investment actually very helpful. Yet still build and play your waifu/husbando or whoever you want, your enjoyment is top priority. Like you had said, Kukki. I don't really give any advice to any newcomers on which ops they should build or which skin they should buy. It is completely up to the player themselves. So let's say there's one newbie who says "I want to build Deepcolor than Utage", even though the latter is more reliable than then former. I'll still allow them to build Deepcolor because they like her. The whole game is completely up to the player. Whether they want to cheese through levels (Meta) or go up for a challenge and use lower rarities in difficult stages. And that is fine to them. There are no restrictions. You are free to do WHATEVER you want. Though just a heads up to those that are main story enjoyers. You need to E2 Amiya for chapter 8. Otherwise you can't progress. Btw 7:26. Tachanka sure has huge assets with that armor of his. Anyways, that's all i can say for this video. Seeing lots of new players fall into the clear-guide dependancy hole, and not really know how to take full reigns of the game and its mechanical depth for themself has always pained me, and ive wanted to do a video series just like this myself, covering things from your first squad, the importance of dp and deployment order, all the way to splitboxing tutorials or how to approach creating a low-op challenge team for a stage. Im limited in my means to do so (only a phone, no pc) so im genuinly happy, relieved even, to see a big member of our community starting something that looks to be very much the same if not identical to my idea. genuinly thank you so much, loved the video, i agreed with all your major points and i think the foundational branch concept was a great way to approach such a daunting topic. I know im just a random viewer, but since ive wanted to do this kind of series myself, if you ever wanted another person to bounce ideas or writing off of, id be happy to help. I usually do low-op cc challenge videos, so i think ive got a good grasp on the technical depth of the game, and really understand how every operator can find their best day in the sun with a proper doctor behind them. fantastic job and looking foward to more from this series☆

I get that this an informative video and all but I am immature. (5:45) I'd love to climb mountain if you know what I mean and (26:25) "if theres a hole" theres a way. On a more serious note, this video is great and it's nice to see people caring about the newbies

Your production value is fantastic. Very concise, very clear information. I'm a veteran player and have most of the golds built, but it gave me some awareness of holes I might have in my account (I don't have two Guardians fully built, for example; fixing that next). Great work.

Revisited this video series to compare the info from my 4 moth experience. This video is GOLD! and the information 100% correct. I was amazed on how often I have been defaulting into those class types even tho i got more variety. I would like to recommend two extra sub-classes for new accounts. 1)The mech-accord caster Click who gives you STUN! extendeed range and BIG dmg. 2)The instructor guard Dobermann who is godtier early game buffing the dmg of starting 3*squad and having great combos with Melantha or Popukar to lanehold like a boss early game. Amazing job on the video as always Kukkikaze♥

Nice video. I'm glad that I built the right operators when I started a year ago. I use the Arknights tier lists in gamepress and KZbinr's suggestion when I build my first squad. Another tip for new players, don't hesitate to build 3 star operators like Melantha, Kroos and Steward. They are super cheap to promote compared to their high rarity counterpart and are viable during the early to mid game. Promoting them to Elite 1 only cost few LMDs with no material requirements.

I saw arknights on playstore last night and installed it. Scrolled through my cousin and I's socmed conversation regarding our game credentials (we often swap accounts to help each other out). Found my account, saw my operators and my dearest apple pie. Currently at C4-2, imma play more. This certainly helped. Thanks, kukki!

Excellent video covering great tips! While having long passed the stage of beginner; it was still highly interesting to watch and compare this to how I ended up going about building my squads. I must say I followed a similar path of having several operators per class, per branch. Though I didn't just stick to the main branches you covered but simply all of them. To this day, i'm still building several operators just to have a branch option ready to go. Still missing a Deadeye sniper despite being spoiled for choice... I build operators for their meta mechanics cause I was lucky enough to get them (ex. Surtr, SilverAsh, Chalter) I build operators for their fun mechanics cause I wanted to (ex. Robin, Saileach, Bena) I build operators for their late game mechanics as I'm starting to venture down this path (ex. Scene, Shamare, Pramanix) I even build an operator for her ability to always end up saving my runs ( Silence, Bless you and your S2M3) And I build operators for their looks and really what other reason is there (ex. Iris, Toddifons, Mizuki) On a side note: La Pluma is the default E2 operator you build for all the reasons listed above; don't question this, just... do it... She will reap through your squads if you own her but don't build her.

i really enjoyed the brief introduction to each subclass you gave. would be awesome if you could make a video which addressed all of them, though i realise it's probs a bit late, now. but there are definitely some subclasses out there with less intuitive roles (tbh even the ones covered in this vid don't have an apparent use to new players) so it'd be great to have them all introduced in a similar accessible way

0:50 Depends on point of the game and how much they would raise their high stars. Most 5 stars and even 6 stars aren't better than E1 55 3 stars until they are at least level 60 into Elite 1 or higher...and the investment needed for LMD, mats and chips may not be worth it, if you just need a squad to start farming to then have the resources to do an investment to raise those 5 and 6 stars to above Elite 1 60.

I really like gacha games... What I like the most is to go F2P for that early game resources management minmaxing. I must say, between Summoner's War (6 years), Genshin Impact, Epic seven, FF Brave Exvius, Star Rail, and a few more, this is THE ONE early game guide that rules them all! This guide tells me exactly what I should be looking for and keeps reminding me that there's no problem to stray from that path. Liked and subscribed, this is the BEST early game guide of any gacha game I ever played! (from MY personal exprience).

Man this guide is really helpful, ive been playing this game for about 4 months already and so far i have to say Im pretty lucky with my headhunting pulls but the problem is that i have kinda grown a slight reluctance to build my three or even four stars so i always have this feeling im missing something or my squad doesnt feel strong even with alot of five stars and six stars. Surprised that some operators that i once felt were trash turned out to be viewed as good. Out of all the arknights guides out herr on yt, this gotta be one of the best. Gonna subscribe for the rest of the series :)

Yes YES this happend to me, costwise 3 and 4 stars win by a mile against 6 stars charaters to give an idea 6 star blemishine is 22 dp while beagle is 16 dp the difference is huge or another one is mosse that is 16 while nearl (yes the difference is really big and the type of damage they give is different but they still are from the same category) is 21 so yeah its worth to build 3 and 4 star charaters P,s: it's a lot cheaper to get a 3 star charaters to E1 lv 55 rather than a 6 star E1 lv 55

great video, really helpful for people looking to build their rosters to be prepared for almost anything the only thing I'm confused about is why Lava the Purgatory is not recommended despite being one of the best units of the archetype, and Skyfire is fine despite being one of the worst units of the archetype. (My reasoning below) Purgatory's stats and skills are both good; despite the very high SP cost on her S2, it's completely mitigated by her talent, which makes it helidrop at E2 (9s at rank 7, 5s at M3), while also providing support to other casters in the form of initial SP. In addition, her S2 is very powerful AoE arts DPS, dealing up to 100% of her attack every second for 40 seconds (M3), which lends itself to her main use, *AoE arts DPS* Whereas Skyfire suffers from having abysmally low DPS, her generic S1 having both higher Skill and Average DPS. Even if you cry "great uptime" her S2 still deals painfully little damage due to its interval of almost 5 seconds, and stunning for 1s every 5s is also terrible for stalling (that's at M3). I suppose something could be said for her talent, which provides 115% arts dmg_scale (E2) on blocked enemies, however blocking enemies becomes less and less important, and 115% just isn't worth it.

Hi Kukkikaze! Loved this, as a max level player this was still informative. I was wondering if you will do the same for the branches you didn’t cover this time around?

Building operators you like and make it work is the most fun thing to do in this game. Vulcan is my best example and I'm not regret investing her.

Excited for more of this, I kind of entered the side of mid game (Chapter 8 already and expecting to try to finish all events but still cant DX) and im not sure if I should invest in characters that I already have somehow leveled, or start some that I've kept at level 1, for example, sussuro, even though I've somehow leveled gavial and warfrain. Ofcourse best of luck in these vid types
