@@obsiangravel Thats not how it works in Arknights lmfao, Degen is a quick burst dps and she is irreplaceable on her role, no other DPS dishes out damage on that quick intervals. If anything Ela and Ray are the ones that are replaceable because of how common duration based burst dpses are in the game. Also Arknights is a DPS orianted game so best dpses are obviously going to be the best operators to pull for

id like to point out that one of Degen's cons is her inconsistency with Frighten offskill. Unless you use her S2 with SP batteries, or timing her S3 properly, it's not that reliable for Frighten. It doesn't take away from her awesomeness but it's still a good thing to take note of when using her

@chaosstripe9446 its all a matter of desire imo. if you dont want her enough, save your oruns. dont pull just because meta. but if you think you really want her, don't reserve yourself. i do use all my op for pulls so i recover pulls pretty easily, I'm not sure how it is for other f2p players who also get skins. i personally skipped her and would rather get from Ray all the way to Wisadel.

Among the six new 6star parade this year, i think she is the best for new squad. She can survive stages with just her elite 1(tremble and 3 slash) and actually worth her class of a guard as in.... guarding the line... As long as you lv 7 her skill she can easely hold the line while we are waiting dp for the next unit deployement.

Idk if you already pulled but it depends on your stack and if you already have other burst carriers like Mlynar. Having one already makes your game lots easier, 2 is better but not by much. Also, If you could wait 6 months, Wisadel gonna push her out of the water anyway.

I've seen some people complain about Degen breaking the Swordmaster archetype by having an auto recovery skill, but to be honest, Swordmaster as a class was really underwhelming, in large part due to them exclusively having offensive recovery skills. While they shouldn't make all Swordmaster skills auto recovery, I think it's perfectly fine to make 1-2 skills auto recovery for any other 6* Swordmaster going forward, otherwise I really doubt they'll see much play (even if you don't only care about meta).

This has happened many times before but people don't remember that's all. Mountain revolutionised brawler guards... Until he was released no brawler guard is really useful. Surtr revolutionised arts guards, same before her people rarely use any arts guards (I know mousse can be useful but mostly for low star teams). Chalter and eyja are similar for their sub-classes as well. But now degen comes out and suddenly everyone goes crazy over the upgrades. A change from Atk recovery to auto recovery won't break the class on its own, it's more of the high damage for the sp needed. For me she is like a ground eyja, but look at eyja's volcano sp...

Degen is just really good tbh. Nothing else to say dont think just pull she is a meta unit that every serious Arknights player should be gettin. Only exception is you have a pot 6 M3 Mlynar or sth then yeah you do not need to pull BUT Degen is just Mlynar 2.0 period, and that is the best compliment I can give her tbh.
