Any way bro we are talking mahabharat and ramayanam here that means we are talking about 2 different yugas which happend one after other. All the evidence that you see now in written form of sanskrit is written in devnagri which roots back to brahmi lipi developed ashoka empire which is 230 BCE. Brahmins used to have non veg in the previous yugas and they used to offer the same in 'pitrukarma.' In kaliyuga meat is a 'strict no' to them and it's being replaced by wada made of ' black gram.' (As told by Brahma Sri Chaganti Koteswara Rao garu!) The Mahabharata which most of us read is only a precise one.Very few people read all the 18 parvas! Unfortunately the knowledge of both the epics which we attain is from the diluted and misleading narration of the movies and the serials! Irony is, we just feel hard to digest whatever fact we listen to for the very first time!

According to Sanathana dharma, there are four yogas, namely Gnana yoga, Bhakthi yoga, Raja yoga and karma yoga. All yogas were introduced only for the well being. People choose the yoga based on their tatva(intuition), which they realize in Gurukuls. All were vegetarians and there was no animal sacrifice in Bharath. All animals were considered as siblings and loved. Karma yoga was considered as best yoga and most eligible for moksha. Its aim is to serve all beings hence seving God. Most of them took karma yoga as it is best yoga for moksha. More than 80% of population were doing karma yoga and occupied professions like farming, sculpting, building, metallurgy, pottery and bring all goods every week for all for free. There was no concept of money until British came inside Bharath. Raja yoga was considered as 50% moksha coefficient and next best. The kings, ministers took this yoga to develop intellect and keep law, order, peace in the people and at same time protect the law from people or invasions who come to destroy the noble Sanathana dharma. Bhakthi yoga was considered as least moksha coefficient.These poeple dont serve anyone hence the moksha is very less for these people. These poeple have to be connected to the creation and pray, meditate and seek for the divine blessings and well being of everyone. These people were doing yagas, homas for well being of all. As they are connected to creator (God Brahma) all time, they were called Brahmins. Gnana yoga is also considered as least moksha coefficient. People who want to explore the creation, the source of everything, hierarchies of creation, the intricacies of universe/multiverse, time, space etc., used to meditate(tapas) and explore the universe by exploring their inner self (antat atma). As they become more subtle and connect to the higher self (paramathma), they are connected to the divine source. This was called Atma gnanam and described well in Bhagavatgeetha. Everyone were doing this after an age of 40~50 irrespective of thier yogas, and live rest of life doing Tapas/meditation. Hence Bharath is called land of seekers. This was the life of Bharath and its people upto 16th century king Krishnadevaraya who ruled most of South India. Bharath was considered as Golden bird and was known as richest country. It was considered richest because there was no greed. All served and loved others. Everybody had everything they needed and no body wanted anything. All were immersed in achieving Moksha(The only goal of Human birth) and served all beings in all yogas mentioned above. Sanathana dharma is badly destroyed by first decimating all Gurukuls and introducing English education into Bharath. English education is self loathing and has no word for punya, moksha which are very imperative in humamn life! The video above is all false and self loating on Bharath people. I think it is only partially correct. There may be external influence on brahmins for turning into vegetarians. It is historically incorrect to say that Buddha preached his followers not to take non veg. All Buddhist countries in the world are non veg eating countries. The influence on brahmins might have come from Jainism and not Buddhism. However eating non veg is not forbidden by the Hindu scriptures. Let us think above caste barriers and work unitedly for the development of this great country.

I am Christian and I am perfectly fine with Brahmins living their life as they want. Atleast,they're not killing others. Why don't people respect their choices ? It's so discriminatory that people who hate them use any excuse to speak all evil against them. We live in a secular and a free nation and they deserve the right to eat what they want irrespective of people speaking all lies about them. We have Brahmins in our society which is 95% Christian and we have no issues with their prayers or chants or bells or their festivals. Unless we have a compassionate heart we as a country won't progress ahead. Infact even in the Christmas cake we never give them an egg based cake just because that is what is a matter of faith. We get them vegetarian cakes (with rum ofcourse , who doesn't love it ! Haha) and they give their festive sweets to us. Let there be peace because we are all the children of God. It is partially true. Eating of flesh stopped only to dominate Buddhism by Hindus. Buddhist taken Idol worship from Hinduism and Hinduism taken ahimsa. Thus Buddhism died in Indian subcontinent (Devided Henayana and Mahayana) So the eating of Flesh stopped by the influence of Buddhism only. Hindus made Budda also as One of the Incornations of Vishnu.
