I applaud your efforts doing these type repairs. But you could have taken a piece of steel and flipped the case upside down and laid it on that piece of steel. Then cut a patch of aluminum to fit pretty close from the inside to fit the hole. Then merely aluminum weld around the edges and you would be finished, except to clean up and polish... Just an idea.
Difficult to make a long vid with your excellent shortcuts!! 😂

Great job, but I'm not sure that you revealed the secret. First time I tried to weld some cast aluminum, it quickly went bloop into a blob of useless aluminum. Next time I used a TIG welder, and it turned out much better. Amazing that you are able to do this with a flame torch.

what this gentleman is doing is a disgrace that defies all good practices! It is an absolute disgrace because he seems not to know anything about it! He does not even know how to adjust his flame!!! read what he shows and find out from real professionals

Gases pengelasan seperti asetilena, oksigen, dan argon pasti jauh lebih murah di Indonesia daripada di Amerika Serikat, di mana harga mereka sangat mahal.😊

I'd have used a hole saw and made the hole a uniform circle then cut a circle from a piece of 1/8 sheet aluminum to size needed and welded it in
@allanmoulton37456 ай бұрын
Interesting. I would have thought the steel welding rod would contaminate the aluminum.

What a shit, The amount of time and gas you wasted, instead of that, you should put it, on a flat surface in reverse and put melted aluminium on it, it would have given you, much more smooth and perfect joint

In all my life as a welder that began over 50 years ago, I have never seen such crap! Even in my worst nightmares I have never imagined such a concentration of mistakes not to make! If there is a god of welders, the poor guy must ask to come back to earth to punish you!!! I have already seen shameful work, but here you surpass them all!!! The list of stupidities is so long that I do not even want to start it. Just by seeing the adjustment of the torch we understand that you do not know anything. The flame is extremely badly adjusted at the beginning, then goes out of adjustment while continuing to spread the metal as if it were melted chocolate, which comes to clog it little by little. Don't you know that a welding nozzle with a torch is cleaned during welding? Don't you see that your flame which already looks like nothing at the beginning becomes a disaster later? I, who have welded aluminum by all processes, steels of all kinds, stainless steel, nickel with all its alloys, etc. in submarines and airplanes, nuclear power plants and gas tanks, am absolutely appalled. And you allow yourself to want to teach others to do the same stupid things? It's very scary!!!!
