There is a phrase Chikna Ghada (चिकना घडा) meaning slippery vessel, referring to a person who doesn't care about any criticism about their behaviour or doesn't listen to any advice. Chiknai (चिकनाई) means fat / grease . So in that sense fat (Chiknai) makes something or someone slippery. If we say उस बर्तन में बहुत चिकनाई हैं। Us bartan mein bahut chiknai hain. i.e. That vessel is very oily / greasy (and might be hard to clean).

This is Pakistan's native language your language is Hindi, don't try to act cool
@SG-jd3hp5 жыл бұрын
Meher Fatima Pakistan has no native language. Punjab, Kashmir, Sindh, Pashtun and Baluchistan do. These real native languages are banned in schools in Pakistan and speaking them is frowned upon in cities. At least India recognises regional languages, and your reply is the reason why Pakistanis and Indians are at each other’s throats despite being brothers and sisters of race. I’m saying this as a descendant of Pakistanis btw.
@BlazingAura15 жыл бұрын
@@SG-jd3hp they're not banned. You literally have to take up the language of the province you're residing in as a compulsory subject. But yeah, that guy's reply was unwarranted.

I was as surprised as Kumail, maybe more at Natalie guessing topi, no idea how she figured that out
@geegeezlouis865 жыл бұрын
It probably made her, even if she wasn't aware of it, think of the word "toupee" and her brain came up with "hat". Or how hats sit on the top of the head. Something like that.
@osheebhai5 жыл бұрын
The reason they were able to figure out Topi and Pata probably has more to do with the fact that Urdu and Spanish have common roots. • Pata [Spanish] ~ pedal (on foot), paer (foot), pae (leg) ~ pedestrian, pedal etc. in English • Topi [Urdu] ~ toupee [English/French], tapa/tapon [Spanish] ~ top So, Urdu and Spanish have a bunch of similar words. • Room = kamra [Urdu], cámara [Spanish] ~ chamber • Table = mez [Urdu], mesa [Spanish] • Teeth = daant [Urdu], dientes [Spanish] ~ dentist • Rock = pathar [Urdu], piedra [Spanish] ~ Petra, petrify, Peter • Chest = seena [Urdu], seno [Spanish] Even the "cheez" Kumail mentions is related to cosa [Spanish] and chose [French].
