Fun fact: "Kung Fu" in Japan was titled "Spartan X", based on the Jackie Chan movie "Wheels on Meals" (1984). You're pretty much playing as Jackie's character, whose name in the movie was Thomas, who helped rescue Sylvia. I assume the guy you fight at the end is Benny Urquidez, who Jackie fought at the end of the movie.

Again, it is Mike who is keeping the channel (and livestream channel) alive. Where would James be without Mike.. Really intend no offense or confrontation with that statement, i'm just saying, i'm grateful that Mike keeps the whole AVGN/Cinemassacre stuff alive and relevant. Because if we went back to the days of James releasing 1 video per 4 months, well.. I dont wanna go back to those days. Thank you Mike. Keep up the fantastic work. Edit: And i said it before, i'll say it again. I wish James would join in for some regular relaxed lets play stuff, much like Mike is doing (livestreamed or not, doesnt matter). Every video he is in doesnt have to be this huge multi-month production. It would be equally (almost more, due to the volume) entertaining to just watch him lets play some old classics, same as Mike is doing. Perhaps together. Frankly i would MUCH prefer regular James & Mike content, even if it meant it was "just simple lets plays" and even if it meant no more big production videos. I am dead serious. !DEAD! FUCKIN' SERIOUS.

The way the game is set out with the levels inside a tower, it reminds me of both Game of Death and Circle of Iron (the alternate title was The Silent Flute). Funniest thing was that both were released in 1978 and were written and planning to star the late Bruce Lee. He never got the part for Circle of Iron (which was then given to David Carridine) although we all know he was in Game of Death (but only footage he had done prior to 1973).

One of the things they missed is that on the second level, you can kick or punch those dropping balls to stop them from spawning anything. It makes the level way easier. Also, as a kid, I used the NES Advantage turbo buttons to beat the final boss in a few seconds. Duck and sweep kick on turbo, and the final boss goes down in 3-4 seconds. Ducking and kicking as fast as you can is the best and easiest way to beat him.

I also played this on the C64 version. The C64 also had both kick and punch but it would require space bar to be pressed to kick while button activated the punch. So what most of us did was put the C64 on the ground and use our toe to activate the spacebar since C64 joysticks were 1 button.
