Really didn't love this movie until the end when the fathers are telling po "things have to change, otherwise things lose their flavor" really turned the movie around for me

[SPOILERS FOR KFP4] Originally this movie would've featured humans and Zhen and Chameleon would've been humans, the director wanted it to be less serious and more funni kid jokes, the runtime was so low because they believed kids wouldn't have good enough attention spans, Chameleon and Zhen originally had ZERO backstory and by the time the crew convince the director that, you know, giving the villain a backstory was important, they were too far in to give her more than those few lines. Kai, Shen, and the Five were VERY last-minute additions, alluding to their lack of plot relevance and voice actors. The co-director of the movie, Stephanie Mastine, wanted the movie to be more like the first two, Tai Lung's return to be done right, and him getting to reunite with Shifu, but was dismissed as a nobody.

I don’t see why people don’t like this installment, it’s a really fun and touching movie. Doesn’t need to be Toy Story 3 or anything like that, it’s a great passing of the torch imo and earned it by the time the credits rolled

Respectfully disagree about Awkwafina. She is one of the few actors that translates well to voice acting which is why she gets so many roles in voice acting. She has a recognizable voice that at its base is animated.

I think the biggest sin this movie commits is that its just alright and didnt really do anything for the franchise. Its similar to Toy Story 4 but I felt like TS4 kinda justified itself better and was a good closure to Woody's story, imo

Theyve gone from family movies to making this a kids movie. Plus Furious 5 just gone( i assume just so they dont pay the voices) The aquafina character is annoying and unbelievable as new dragon warrior. (Like honestly why tf train furious 5 to become dragon warrior when apparently its always just gonna go to new guy) i almost gave them props for not doing the superrr cliche new person betrays main character but ofc they did it! I dont think they did the thing with passing Oogweis staff to be able to use it that well. I feel like saying hold this. Vs here this is yours, is very different and how is Chameleon immediately awesome with it. Especially when she trash at kung fu at that point, which makes you wonder how Aquafina even got good at fighting Regional joke funny but didnt he just save all of freaking China? Because they dont wanna pay voices. The old villains except tailang are just disrespected and background characters. Kinda trash movie.. except Megamind 2 exists so, kung fu panda is oscar worthy

Awkwafina has one of the worst voices as she sounds like she inhales a pack of cigarettes every day and yet she is used SO MUCH in voice acting roles! 😂

You do realize your in the minority with that opinion, hence why she keeps getting animated roles, that and voice acting is way less about how a person sounds and what they can do with that voice, Aquafina is easily one of the most talented female VA’s in the industry, rivaled by only Lake Bell and a few others.
