This is one of the best clash-of-two-eras matches of all time. The Alcaraz Djokovic Wimbledon final is probably the other great example. I really thought my interest in tennis was going to dwindle down to nothing once Agassi left. Then came the era of the GOATs right on the heels of Agassi. 22:23: the Davis Foster Wallace point, as described in his NYT article "Roger Federer as Religious Experience". He is slightly in accurate as he describes Federer as hitting a defensive backhand (he didn't - it was Agassi, and it set up Federer's winner) and also described Agassi as being passed at the net (better still, he was beaten at the baseline).

he used an oversize racket. but always hit in the middle part. so he got basically a mid size racket but with all power along the edges since the oversize had a sweet spot the size of a mid-size frame. if he used an actual mid-size frame, he would have had shanked shots when hit all along the edges .......... not sure why other baseliners did nt adopt this strategy in his era, as oversize were very popular models in the market at the time.
