Wow, rare plants are stunning! I've got 3 Thai Constellations that I grew from tissue culture, and they're thriving. When I want more, I turn to creating them with play dough and clay - haha!

Do you know if the care for White Monster and other super minty varigatas is way different? Would love to try and get one- one day in the future 😂🤞. But curious if they have more elevated needs than most?

I agree! Something happens when I see the variegated leaves.. I’m not sure on the White Monster but I’ve heard they do grow slow (as does the mint). And I’ve experienced slow rooting with the mint also

I like plants but have never understood the obsession with variegation. It's just a defect where some of the cells have no chlorophyll. The plant is trying to get rid of it because it's causing slow growth. Patterning, on the other hand, is reliable, my favorite patterned plant is Primulina dryas 'Naine Argente'.

The story of a soldier bring it back from the wild doesn’t make sense unless he was in South America because that’s where monstera originates

Monstera is from Mexico/Central America but was brought to Asia at some point, and in WW2 a soldier found it growing in the wild!
