He DOES have a habit of convincingly switching plans and making stuff up as he goes along, on the fly, to the point where it seems like he planned it that way the whole time (when he did not.) I was thinking about the Specializers we've met thus far, and I did so because both characters in the title are. We know that Kurapica is driven by his clan's death: Chrollo, who is also a specialist, is driven by his childhood friend's death (at least as the straw breaking the camel's back). All the chimera ants specialist have nen ability BECAUSE OF their own death/assimilation. About Neon Nostrade, mine is just a hypotesis: her mother's death caused her to develop a power for others to know their fate, while she unancklowledged her own. So based on these not-so-strong basis, I wonder what death came into Tserriednich's life to take him at this point: it can't be his mother's, perhaps he had to kill his love-of-a-lifetime yet traitor partner? That would pair with his anger towards lying women. It would also explain why he has developed such a preserving ability that activates just when he is trusting others the most.

The SM user might have already been revealed based on context clues. 1. Furykov ID'ed 4 "secret" nen users. 2. Loberry was cursed by SM ands used as a diversion. Did not know about nen up to this point. 3. Two others were Halkenburg's guards who were marked by the former's GSB. Neither had known about nen up to this point. 4. At the end of Ch 400, Longhi reveals themself as a nen user to Kurapika during the Water Divination Ceremony. There's always a chance that Furykov is wrong, but based on the clues, Longhi is the user of SM.

Togashi seems to be setting up a redemption arc for Tserriednich. His interactions with Halkenburg, his growing interest in Melody, and his relationships with his friends all point in that direction. Tserriednich and Kurapika will eventually cross paths, and Kurapika will be faced with the challenge of learning how to forgive. They might even end up working together against a common enemy. Who could it be? I think it's Halkenburg. We could see a scenario similar to the Chimera Ant arc, where Tserriednich undergoes a transformation in his character that makes him good, while Halkenburg becomes corrupted by his ideals. Also, Tserriednich might be the only one capable of countering Halkenburg’s seemingly unstoppable ability with his ability to see into the future and dodging Halkenburg’s arrow while giving the illusion he got hit like what happened with Theta.

this might be an unpopular opinion but i like that there's so many different plot points and characters in such a small area. it makes the stakes way higher. i also like that none of the plot points feel insignificant. they all feel important to the overall story but there's still room for us to question "how will all this tie in together". then ANOTHER thing that makes it feel crazy is the character variety. we got the troupe, hisoka, the zodiacs, the chairman of the hunter association, leorio, the guy we spent the whole series looking for (ging), pariston, beyond netero, the princes, the mafia, kurapika, melody, a few zoldycks. then with all this going on on the ship, we still gotta remember that they're on the way to the dark continent... it's a lot and i love it all

I think it’s like a hidden tunnel or “archives” to get to the dark continent, that’s what ging may have been searching for(and don) when he left gon. I believe gon, maybe w/ kite killua & alluka, will find a secret way to the dark continent where they will meet kurapika and Lerio maybe saving them learning how to maintain on the dark continent as if it’s the regular side, just like how they had to walk past hisoka w/ their ren in the tournament arc, the whole show is really a showcase to learn how nen work, I think they will have to constantly implicate nen to even walk around and breath properly there. I have heard (I don't have a source on hand, and didn't see a direct tweet from anyone involved or anything, so it might just be hearsay or there might be some kind of confirmation that I just haven't looked into) that Togashi's wife, legendary mangaka of Sailor Moon fame Naoko Takeuchi, is working on getting Togashi's art style down so that should he pass before he can finish Hunter x Hunter that she could finish it. I'd be interested to see a video on that possibility. Personally, I think that if there's anyone who knows where the story is currently intended to go and could get us there in a way Togashi would approve of (other than Togashi himself) it is Takeuchi. So, if Togashi gave her the go ahead to continue in his stead after his passing, I would fully trust that to be as close to Togashi's vision as possible, and would happily accept that. Of course, if Togashi were to say to just leave it alone after his passing then I would feel that we should honor his wishes and trust his wife would do the same. (That might actually be worse if then Shonen Jump decided to try to continue it with some unrelated or barely-connected mangaka taking over, but I'm not sure what rights Togashi's estate would have to stop that versus what rights to HxH Shonen Jump has. But if it's going to continue regardless, Takeuchi would certainly be my preferred way of doing so.) Really, my biggest worry if Takeuchi were to take over would be that HxH fandom would fill up with misogynists insisting that anything they didn't like from that point forward was entirely her fault and wouldn't have happened if Togashi were still around. Still, fingers crossed that Togashi lives a long time and is able to finish everything he wants to accomplish, but it's worth discussing the alternative (as Togashi already did in releasing ending D, which does make it possible that he would ask Takeuchi not to continue if he passes, but doesn't make anything certain.)

I really hope Togashi make them explore the vastness of DC, learn things and get strong together. If only Togashi would give his visions to a younger mangaka and make him do his work, with him supervising, we won't be waiting years for just few chapters.
