Kurt is a real life hero, I don't say that lightly! RIP David Shultz
@kellijones64812 жыл бұрын
1:54 THANK YOU KURT! I’m glad someone finally called out the former FBI agent for his cowardice. Du Pont more than likely would’ve shot Dave at least once, but you’d think a trained FBI agent would’ve been able to either wrestle the gun away from Du Pont or at least restrain him enough until help arrived. Dave may have died anyway from the one shot, but then again maybe not if Du Pont’s bodyguard hadn’t been such a coward.
@markschultz89822 жыл бұрын
a lot of people label him a coward for his actions. I've tried to understand the situation as it happened in real time. I can't speak for anyone since I wasn't there. Pat Goodale did do the right thing by testifying for the prosecution, unlike Bulgarian wrestler Valentin Jordanov.
@michaelfalkner11862 жыл бұрын
The agent was part of the murder. Accomplice, accessory, conspiracy, whatever level it is. Cowardice would assume, at the end of the day, that he was not part of the attack.

@sk8glassesnmay493Ай бұрын
He also may have been totally surprised too. As well as being in a car with the rest of the windows up while a .357 goes off would blast his senses . It would be so loud and confusing. And wrestling with a guy sitting right next to you who has a revolver isn’t such an easy task either. We don’t know if the fed had a gun. For all we know the ex fed was a PC analyst or a legal consultant for the FBI. Sounds like du Pont did not have the best staff around him. We just don’t know. Running and taking cover to see what’s going on isnt cowardice. Knowing what’s going on and knowing you can absolutely pitch in to stop something and deciding not to is cowardice .

Kurt angle really does tell some of the most fascinating wrestling stories
@nicholasroberts78912 жыл бұрын
The more I listen to this story, the mental health experts are right. The guys living on the ranch were just enablers that didn't want the party to end. Ask anyone on the inside about the situation, they continually downplay him. However you speak to ppl on the outside who knew him and they all talk about how creepy and odd he was. Kurt Angle: "we just didn't see it, we didn't know what mental illness was" Mark Coleman: he was a really creepy, creepy dude and he was hard to be around
@Y0utubeIsFuckingHomo Жыл бұрын
Kurt takes responsibility. He said in other interviews that obviously it's truly John's fault but all the wrestlers are at fault for excusing John's erratic behavior.
@Matt-cr4vv Жыл бұрын
They knew he was eccentric and they knew he had drug issues. But it’s a leap to jump to seeing somebody as a murder versus being weird and eccentric. That’s what they mean when they say that. They knew he was odd but that’s what they wrote it off as - likely because they didn’t want to see it poorly. These were guys who had a dependency on John which he wanted and naturally when someone is your lifeline like that you want to see past their flaws. So it isn’t hard to see why they’d try to look past his oddities like most anybody in the same scenario would. Despite being an odd duck he hadn’t hurt anybody for years and years despite being an odd ball. The idea they should’ve foreseen what was to come is pretty silly to have expected. They saw John as many would as an odd ball but that being it. It’s easy for outsiders who had no skin in it to speak in hindsight of how everyone should’ve known. But the reality is that was a huge leap to have made.
@Slop_Dogg Жыл бұрын
Of course they wanted money. That isn’t a big revelation. It was a bunch of wrestlers in a sport where there are infamously little options to make income using an eccentric rich guy to keep themselves afloat. He was their benefactor & leaving would’ve been a financially ludicrous decision to make.

The problem with this interview is the movie is incredibly inaccurate and misleading. No. They wrestled at different weight classes. Kurt won gold at 100 kg. Dave wrestled 74 kg. If it really even came to that I think Dave would’ve stepped aside anyways rather than even competing for it. He was Kurt’s coach and mentor preparing him to hit that goal and he’d already accomplished it. I don’t think he was the type of guy who would’ve stood in the way if it was ever a thing.
