When you think you couldn't dislike Vince more. You find out he blocked Angle Vs CE a retirement match. Disgrace.

Feel bad for Kurt. He always gave his all, not wrestling meant his body couldn’t do it and asked to go out on his terms but was rejected. A match against John Cena would have been so much more rewarding for the fans but had a 10 minute retirement match instead. If it was Hogan, Rock, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker you could guarantee he’d let them go out the right way.

I, personally didn't want to see Kurt Angle retire at 'WWE WrestleMania 35'... I honestly think Kurt Angle could've gone another 2-7 more years before finally retiring from in-ring competition.

Kurt admits in this video he didn't want to wrestle an extra year let alone 2-7 more years.

It was Vince's fault he had to retire. McMahon literally screwed up so much in Kurt's run. The GM thing, Jason Jordan angle, Kurt losing matches, Kurt vs Corbin. It's hard to screw up a legend like Kurt's swansong but somehow Vince did.
@rodycaz89843 жыл бұрын
Nope, not his fault at all. Angle took a lot of bad decisions throughout his career. Get a clue.

@@CeemPlay Nope, he could barely go. His body was too broken down by that point and it showed. A guy like that can't be full-time and even wrestle monthly, you run the risk of something bad happening to him in the ring.

@@rodycaz8984 Watch matches from his independent run in 2016/17 he works fine. Had he returned to the active roster in 2017 and wrestled for 2 years on a couple of matches a month schedule or a little less it would have worked fine.

@@CeemPlay I have seen a couple; he clearly struggled in the ring. As I said, his body was just too broken down by that point. There's no chance he could've had a final full-time run in WWE.

‘I didn’t think Baron deserved a wrestlemania with a hall of fame legend’... alright Kurt! It’s true, it’s damn true.... but not one for the humble pie it seems!
@watchreport3 жыл бұрын
But he’s right. Has nothing to do with being humble. Corbin wasn’t brought up to that level yet, and just look at the match. It was a crap send off for Kurt and did nothing for Baron. These past 5-6 years or so, maybe even 10, it seems WWE has no idea how to push and get talent over. The social media and all of them just every other minute saying it’s a show and we are making stories and not keeping any semblance of character doesn’t help, but it just seems WWE doesn’t want to create 5 star matches and have talent get over at all.

I learned a few things about Vince here: 1. He's not toxic or a bad leader - he knows what he's doing for the FUTURE 2. He's not the only one calling the shots here and does want to involve his legends and talents 3. His thinking process has a whole lot to do with how the future will be, not today 4. Kurt's decision to retire not affecting Vince's direction is a great indication of fortitude in decision making. If every talent/legend came to Vince with retirement final matches, he won't be able to execute his storylines and merch ideas properly 5. Vince isn't a devil whatsoever. He's just a very intelligent business man who has to report back to shareholders, partners, talent, and corporate overall.
