Typical media BS as they do this shit in all areas of life. Sadly many are easy prey and are owned by the media.

I used to not like Kurt; he was like Kyle when he was younger, and let's not forget those late-2000's-mid-2010's meltdowns. After being falsely accused of domestic violence, he matured a ton. He's probably in my Top 10 favorites in the field now. Seeing him with at least one win per year is very Ricky Rudd of him, and very refreshing when it happens. He's definitely racing for the fun of it now. It's great to see him smile week in and week out, even after some rough weekends. Also, RIP Chris Trickle.

I didn't know Kurt's 2012 Sonoma car was the same chassis as Gordon's 06 car. Makes sense being it was extremely good in long runs

I feel like the Monster deal is bigger than the Daytona 500. He has become the new Rusty or something like that. A guy who has unlimited talent and matured into a major player in the sport for years to come.

Man I cry that day when he won the 500. Throughout his ups and downs I was still be a fan of hes since 06.

Part of the reason I love Kurt and Kyle Busch so much is because they helped bring in the: Young drivers don't take shit from anyone attitude. Before the Busch Brothers it was very rare you see a younger driver stand his ground against a veteran driver. You used to just take whatever they gave you and you were expected to turn the other cheek. Fortunately for me, their generation, my generation, doesn't see it that way. Our generation is about respect being a 2-way street. For a long time in Nascar, when a new driver came into the sport. The veterans pretty much free reign to do whatever they wanted to them. Not anymore nowadays. Listen, I don't care who you are or where you come from or what you've done. These young driver worked just as hard as the vets did to get where they are. So don't think your gonna try any bullshit and expect them to stay quiet about it. You have to give respect in order to get it. A Veteran driver bullying a Young driver doesn't teach respect. A Young driver giving back what they're being given does. You can't go thru life letting people wipe their feet on you. Sometimes showing a little backbone is necessary.

Kurt won that race at Martinsville on my birthday. I was really happy that he won that race and not Jimbo.

I honestly don’t think Kurt ever reached his full potential. Just crazy he won the championship in ‘04 then never did again. And really was never close to won. If he stayed with Roush and controlled his temper he could have been even better. Especially if he didn’t waste years at Phoenix raceway. Just wish he could have kept his temper down

One of the biggest NASCAR what ifs is how Kurt would have turned out if the 1st half of his career wasn't him being a raging lunatic. As a fan of him since the early 2000s I've wondered it a lot but at the same time and beyond glad he turned it all around

I’m a Harvick fan but I have really grown to like Kurt over the last several years. It will be a sad day when he leaves the sport. Harvick and Kurt are about all that’s left from the old guard. We need them to stick around as long as possible to try to straighten out some of these young drivers with no respect.

I became a Kurt Busch fan when he started roughing up Spencer. Because I really didn't like Spencer, and still don't to this day. Since then, he's proven that he is a NASCAR legend. If he's not at least considered for the Hall of Fame one day, I'll be deeply disappointed.

Can you imagine growing up like him? Very talented and wins a freaking championship so young! Must have made him feel untouchable and make him over arrogant, especially when his 7 year younger brother comes in with huge talents.

"Only one big accident in the first two stages" the guy says. That 'one big accident' was Kurt's brother Kyle losing a tire entering turn 3, which denied Dale Jr the chance to win his final Daytona 500 start.
