I broke down Shedeur Sanders film vs NDST in week 1. He did a lot of things well that i believe translate to the NFL. 🎯

Been telling folks...film don't lie. He's the best QB in the college football. He's not padding completion % stats with a bunch of check downs, he's got a high Comp % while pushing the ball down field. Pocket Awareness, Poise, Toughness, Accuracy, Ability to quickly read coverages, and very good arm strength, and ability to make very single throw.

He gets all his attention, sir, because of his Daddy, not because he’s a winner or an actual field general. If he was Shadeur Johnson, he wouldn’t get any attention. I’ve said it before but one of the most impressive things Shedeur built on this year is his presence and leadership. Say what you want about the off the field stuff and the sound bites, but it’s very clear to me that Deion and Shedeur take a lot of pride in the program and their play. I watched Shedeur get smacked around a little bit against NDSU and he always popped up, gave the edge guys a Pat, regrouped his OL, and got ready for the next play. That’s the maturity and responsibility of an NFL level QB. Physically he’s always been there, but damn he’s got just a tad more pop in that ball this year, love to see it. I don’t think offense will be a problem for CU, they’re aggressive, they make plays, fantastic to watch across the board. Run game is awful, so I’d like to see that worked on to become at least serviceable by mid season. Defense is lacking, but one glaring issue stuck out to me watching this game - lack of game management. You watch Shedeur in a bubble and it’s a masterpiece. Then you realize they were in a 5 point game, 4 yards away from losing it at the 00:00. This was one of those games where it just didn’t “feel” like NDSU should be in the game still, but they were. Not sure what they can do to fix it, but that’ll be a problem down the stretch (especially considering CU was in like 4 or 5 one score games last year). Thanks for your fantastic breakdowns as always!

Defense gave up 6pts in the entire 2nd half... NDSU ran a lot of pick routes and very little routes down field... give NDSU credit the played a pretty good game... the were 6-1 in last 7 games against FBS, not to mention they have turned down the offer to become a FBS team the past several years...

The people that hate on him, don’t know how to dissect football. They hate on him for other reasons. I think the hate comes from the media. Here’s my point. At Arizona State last year the fans were chanting overrated. The fans were chanting FU Sanders. Sanders was quiet and played the game. At the end of the game, he got the last laugh when Colorado won, and he did absolutely nothing except for his signature pose to the people that were antagonizing him. The media said that he was classless. The narrative wasn’t that he was silencing the critics, it wasn’t that he was attacked first and he had the last laugh. The narrative was he was showboating. But when people who actually watch football look at his numbers from last year, and they include the fact that he was the most sacked quarterback, they include the fact that he did this while under duress for 90% of his throws. People start to understand how good he actually is.

@@loverofhumanity I can agree with you on that I’m mainly saying majority of people dnt really know the ins and outs and really don’t like him based off coach sanders and how he is confident in his self. Pro wise I think he is going to be very good but it depends on the team but he has the potential to be something special he a QB and pro scouts get it wrong all the time I personally if I were a GM would draft him the hate is crazy tho being that he really is one of the best QBs in the country it’s not many better if any that all can change on the nfl but for people to say he is trash based of team performance is unfair hell Josh Allen went 16-11 as a starter but he was drafted 7th overall because he is an elite talent 2 can’t play every position he can only do what he can do and while facing immense pressure I don’t see too many quarterbacks that deal with that amount of pressure still be successful at throwing you put him on UGA it would be the same amount of talk him going top 5 based off what he does and holding the ball can be fixed he has to learn to to throw it away and live to fight next play true or run which looking at ndsu he getting a little better

Everyone would be on his jock if his last name was Smith instead of Sanders. People just hating on the kid because he’s Deion’s son. he doesnt have blazing speed and doesnt have a rocket arm and holds the ball for too long (last year) because he's afraid of ruining his stats. Has a tendency to not throw before his receiver is open. That being said he played amazing against ndsu and did show that he may be the best qb in college right now. That being said its one game. He also played amazing against tcu last year and then struggled the remainder of the year. And no, he would actually still be considered overrated if his last name was smith. He wouldnt even be known. A top qb in the nation is someone like michael penix jr last season. Dude had a bad line, horrible defense and was still able to lead them to the playoffs and a remarkable offense. If shadeur was the real deal, a top level qb, colorado would not be a 4 win team. That's just the truth. I can cite many examples of college qb greats with really bad teams that led their team to an incredible record. That's how important qb is especially at the college level. It's often the difference from being a really really bad team to an unstoppable team. Even in the nfl we see this, when a top qb gets injured and his back up cant even win a game.

Please Raiders draft him!!! The only thing I’d say about him is that he needs to get the ball out quicker on those short throws to his WRs on screen passes and the one at 1:21. Maybe it’s a footwork thing or it was designed like that I’m not sure but it’s just my thoughts 🤷🏽‍♂️.

Can you review Zach Wilson college tape so I can see why people were hyping him so much?
@MsJamillah2

Question of the Decade! ESPECIALLY considering there were other QB’s available! The lack of tape due to the pandemic got him and Trey Lance nice, unworthy, paydays. I strongly believe Justin Fields would be having a better career if he was drafted by the Jets or 49ers.

He will be the number 1 pick this year. If you're the GM with the number 1 pick and you don't take him, you're a fool and should be fired immediately. Seriously. This will be looked back on like Mahomes. If you pass on him, you will regret it. If you think he's overrated or just not good, you're either a hater or you don't know football. Plain and simple.

Hey Kurt. Great video. What site are you using to watch all 22 film for college ball? If you ever take ideas, I’d love to see your thoughts on LaNorris Sellers at South Carolina. Physically gifted but a rough first game. I’d like to rewatch for myself to get a better understanding of what went wrong.

Disappointed in our "revamped" O Line. 3 man pressure shouldn't be disrupting the pocket like that. Nevertheless, #2 won that game. A large majority of current ncaa and nfl QBs don't deliver under that amount of constant pressure.

Patriots, Giants or Raiders will pick him. Brady mentored him and is with the Raiders now as a part owner so we’ll see. He would also be a good guy to replace Rodgers with the Jets when Rodgers retires but they’ll probably win too many games this season to be able to pick him.

Fans always say a qb can't read defenses as if they A.) know how to go through reads themselves B.) know the play being ran.. and quite frankly we can't even see the routes half the time from the pov the broadcast gives us 😂

His biggest comp to me is Drew Brees. I really think they are very similar. Velocity, touch, physical stature, pocket mobility, uncanny ability to stand in and delivery while knowing hes going to take a shot. I know his mentor is Tom but he plays MUCH more like Drew

I never in my life seen a qb for more in college with less where it matter most, PROTECTION. One of the major issues with college qbs is the fact that they aren’t pressured and the time in the pocket doesn’t translate to NFL time in the pocket, poor pocket presence, and the inability to throw receivers open and throw with timing. Sanders does all these things at a high level. There are only a few guys that can succeed behind his line play. Outside of cam ward I don’t think any other qb can have success behind his o line. Constantly making throws under pressure, having to get the ball out quick, throwing dots while a defender is coming in his chest. This dude is nfl ready now with his ability to process, get the ball out and deliver around mud while maintaining pocket presence. Best qb in the draft and one of the best in a while. This dude has a line equivalent to Lamar Jackson and Joe burrow.
