Does it needs empowerment!! I love chanting bhuddhist mantra and it feels soo peaceful 😇😇😇!!!
@BuddhaWeekly2 ай бұрын
🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏 Thank you for your question. Although you should follow the advice of your teacher and lineage, she doesn't require empowerment as she is an manifestation of Tara's compassion and wisdom. As this is a praise mantra rather than a specific supplication, usually permission isn't required. Om Kurukulle praises her, Hum Hrih are seed syllables of compassion and the Padma family of Amitabha (Lotus family of compassion). When you have an opportunity, if you feel close to her, you should consider empowerment with a qualified teacher, but meanwhile, you can frontally visualize here as you chant. Some lineages are stricter, but Om praise mantras are generally fine. In kindness, BW. 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

@BuddhaWeekly4 ай бұрын
🙏🙏🙏 Not sure what you're asking, sorry. For Red Tara, several of the 21 Taras are Red Taras, and of course Kurukulla herself. Doing the 21 Taras practice daily or just the 21 Taras Dharani in either Sanskrit or English (we have both on the channel) is the best way to bring all the energies of Tara (there are 8 Red Taras in the Atisha lineage.) 21 Taras Dharani is a wonderful practice for everyone. There are different practices of magnetizing activity. We haven't started our Red Tara series yet with each of the eight Red Tara mantras (although the music mantras are recorded and on the music streaming .. or here on KZbin the playlist (audio only) is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qpuWc5eCnNWSrac Our Red Tara series will start soon on video as well. We also have the Red Tara mantras and their activities here: buddhaweekly.com/?p=23909 Hope that helps. In kindness, BW

For how many days it's recommended to listen to this track? To see any change in my life
@BuddhaWeekly7 ай бұрын
Thank you for listening. The answer depends on the person, and individual karma. First, it depends strongly on your devotion, virtue and faith. All three are important. Without them, this is just lovely sound. If this is the first time you've set your mind to devotion and faith, it's going to take some time to accumulate merit, purify negativities and attract the appropriate activities. Chanting must be with full devotion, virtue, and faith to have merit. The merit accumulated through chanting the praise mantra with faith and devotion helps to purify negative karmic imprints in this life and past. Virtuous activities also create these merits, such as by acting on the ten perfections or virtues: (1) generosity (dāna), (2) morality (sīla), (3) renunciation (nekhamma -- i.e. renounce your past negative actions), (4) insight (pañña), (5) energy (viriya), (6) patience (khanti), (7) truthfulness (sacca), (8) resolution (adhiṭṭhāna), (9) loving-kindness (metta), and (10) equanimity (upekkhā). For those with strong merit, virtues, devotion and faith, it still depends on your karmic circumstances now, and whether you are sincere. Even when you have the merit, Enlightened deities help us by helping us help ourselves. You still have to create opportunities for the karma (karma just means activity, either positive or negative). (For instance, chanting Jambhala wealth deity mantras have the same guidelines, and then require us to go out and create opportunities for the wealth to come.) If you listen (ideally chant) with enthusiasm and faith, and chant along, and really are motivated to change and act, and then go out and do something positive and meritorious, the karma will ripen more quickly. I hope that helps. In kindness, BW

@@BuddhaWeekly I appreciate the detailed answer and the heartfelt explanation about the ten virtues of dharma. I've been wrestling with this question for a while: When folks talk about the necessity of seekers taking action in spirituality, it hits hard for those trapped by their past karma, like someone confined by the walls of their own nature, akin to being imprisoned within themselves. How can they ever break free if they're unable to act?

Its meaning ????????
@BuddhaWeekly6 ай бұрын
Om Kurukulle Hum Hrih Svaha is her name praise mantra that associates her with the Padma family of Amitabha (the power and magnetizing activities of all the Buddhas.) Om has extensive commentaries (but here we can translate in Buddhist terms as "I prostrate to the body, speech and mind" (A-U-M are the seed syllables for Enlightened Body, Speech and Mind, it is "shortened in transliteration" to OM). Kurukulle is an active form of her name which means "knowledge-causing mother-Buddha" (Kuru is "the doer" ( or activity of) and Kulle is "knowledge" (depending on context, it's kulla or kulla) (as in "gold or treasure of knowledge). Hum has many meanings, but it's main one is "union" of wisdom and compassion and Hrih is the seed syllable of Amitabha's Padma Family (every member of his family has Hrih (usually) in their mantras such as Om Amitabha Hrih. Hrih is a signifying of magnetizing power. Hope that helps. In kindness, BW.🙏🙏🙏

What is benefits if i pray for this mantra
@clipsfromfilms10 ай бұрын
Hello and kudos for the beautifully presented video. I have a couple of questions: Is there a difference between Kurkella and Red Tara, and their 2 separate mantras: Om KuruKulle hum hrin svaha, and Om Tare Tam Svoha? Can praying to either of these goddess's assist in the wish to find and keep a suitable a long term partner (Girlfriend/wife/husband,etc)? Or would these Buddhas shun such wishes as being "too selfish" or "too worldly"? Do you have to be a Buddhist to work with these goddess's or any of the other 21 Tara's? Or are they OK with you praying to them and making offerings and working with them if you consider your self to be "spiritual but not religious" and / or work with deities or spiritual practices outside of the Buddhist linage (for example hindu, Shinto, gnostic, wiccan, or kabalistic traditions)?
@BuddhaWeekly10 ай бұрын
Thank you for kind words. There are actually more than 2 Kurukulle and Red Tara Mantras. There is the Seed Syllable Red Tara mantra you mentioned. There is the mantra of the 5th Tara in the Atisha lineage of 21 Taras which is also Kurukulle: OM TARE TUTTARE SHTRI AKARSHAYA HRIH SVAHA (which is a supplication mantra, see below and video linked below). And there is Om Kurukulle Hum and the version we have here which is Om Kurukulle Hum Hrih Svaha. What is going on here is we're praising Kurukulle and Red Tara in all cases, but some mantras are actually supplicating or "asking for" an activity based on our Bodhichitta intention to benefit all beings. So, I'll be referring you (if you're interested) to some of our documentary videos because we cover all this separately -- this is my own laziness so I don't have to type too much:-) See links below. On your question of "suitable long term partner" this is a qualified yes. I'm glad you added the word "suitable" because you can certainly supplicate Tara to help you with things that are important to you, as long as it doesn't impact another's free will and as long as it is for the best interests of all parties-- and most importantly if you ultimately have Bodhichitta intention (the kind intention to benefit all beings.) For example, some teachers use Kurukulle's practice to magnetize "suitable students" -- the same language you used, except "suitable student" instead of "suitable long term partner". All of this assumes you have Bodhichitta intention -- you don't have to be Buddhist (see below), but Bodhichitta intention is always required (i.e. "I dedicate the merit of this mantra to the benefit of all sentient beings.") We did do a documentary of Kurukulle talking about exactly these things, you'll find here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXLFc6KGfrV2Y7M No, you don't have to be a Buddhist, since all beings ultimately have Buddha Nature, so anyone can practice Tara. She welcomes all beings from insects to people. She is the "activity of the all the Buddhas" so her activity is all about transforming anger, hate, jealousy, clinging, attachments, wrong views... so there is no person in this universe she doesn't embrace, even people filled with hate. She works to transform them through her five activities: red (magnetizing), white (pacifying), yellow (enriching) blue or black (wrathful), and "green" is all of these. So, the difference between Kurukulle and Red Tara mantras is mostly focus, mantra, and whether we are supplicating an activity. So in the short form Red Tara mantra -- Om Tare Tam Svaha -- this is actually mostly a praising mantra, her name mantra, and for that reason, very potent, but it iis NOT what is "known" as a supplicating (or activity) mantra (we just did a series on that, featuring all 21 Taras, with Longchenpa's teachings on how to add supplications to mantras.) You'll find it here (video about supplication mantras), with ALL 21 Tara's mantras spoken and explained: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYS3i3uAlM2dkLs&t In the 21 Taras, there are eight Red Taras, and they're ALL Red Tara, but we're supplicating a different thing in each case. Om Tare Tam Svaha is basically her name mantra with her Seed syllable. TAM is the seed syllable of EVERY Tara. So, this is a potent, short form name praise, very powerful. What activates "magnetizing" is your visualization of Red Tara, your Bodhichitta intention (to benefit all sentient beings) and your intention. (The shortest form of Tara's mantra is just "Om Tam Svaha" which is the seed syllable. Om Kurukulle Hum Hrih Svaha is a highly active Dakini mantra, with Red Tara in her dancing, active form. She is in this aspect emanating both from Tara and Amitabha Buddha. In this mantra you have her Name Praise, and the Seed Syllable of Amitabha's Lotus Compassion Magentizing family. (All Padma Family Enlightened Buddhas magnetize.) I went on longer than intended. I suggest you check out the two videos I mentioned, as they cover these topics in more depth. In kindness, BW.

A question for me too. I have read the mantra of the 5th Tara. Is it "Om Tare tuttare shtri akarshaya hrih svaha" without TURE? Thankx.
@BuddhaWeekly10 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. Yes, according to Lama Zopa's transmission, the 5th Tara in the Atisha lineage is without the Ture. If you'd like to reference the broader teaching, Lama Zopa's excellent book The Power of Mantra: Vital Practices for Transformation (Wisdom Culture Series) has that mantra and teaching on page 67. It's a superb book, highly recommended. On Amazon: amzn.to/3ufqsOg or just look it up online by that title or ISBN: 978-1614297277 if you are interested. In kindness, BW.
