I got mine from eBay seller "saint baz". But he was in the UK. backlightsonline dot com might be a better place to buy one.

OMG. I just did this install, and forgot to pull off the protective plastic for the lcd! It works though. It's a gray K2VX with white text on black lcd. Looks nice! Thanks for your tutorial!

No problem, the white on black is cool. That sucks about the protective plastic. You'd have to remove everything again to get to it. lol.

There's a display contrast adjustment in the master settings menu. I don't remember exactly where it is.

so you had to replace the whole display how much did you pay for it? any way I have a kurzweil k 1000 electronic piano the voices are distorted and the back lite on the display did not work when I got it years ago but you could still read the text on in it now its all blured and sounds distorted

I don't remember what I paid, it's been a few years. Distorted sound is a bigger problem than the display.

It's doing great. I do not play the keyboard often though. But it's so much nicer having a modern display.

I have the same key briar and it says replace battery anyone know where the battery is for the display?

The display doesn't take a battery. If you have the exact keyboard, there is a door on the bottom for AA batteries. If it doesn't, it's a different year K2000. And the battery is probably inside.

My displays come from eBay seller saint_baz. It's not something that's officially sold anywhere. Search Google and eBay. If you can't find one, I guess they're not available.
