Hey Folks, Very early on with the Area 51 Project I changed the rear quarters and rear wheel arches from the stock shapes and flow to the drop back on the rear quarter and the teardrop style rear wheel well shape. Therefore, Kustom Fender Skirts were in order for the finishing touch back there. I custom fabbed my own skirts to fit the new arches and fabricated an anchor attachment system to hold them on the car. A year or so later I decide the Kustom skirts needed a little more Kustomizing and I added a little hook under piece to make them flow with the rear hip of the Fleetline. Fast forward to the present day and after all the body work that has been getting done I kept forgetting the drag out the fender skirts that I made for the 51 project, so here they are, and they need a little smoothing out. I also get going with a bit a brush on seam sealer around the drip rails and in door jams. Following all of that, more sanding and some more sanding.

Welcome man. I try to the best I can within my means. I still screw things up on a very regularly basis haha. Full respect to you guys who do this sort of thing every day. It’s very meticulous and time consuming work.

That "brush-on" seam sealer is great, but I've never had the patience to brush it. Ive always just used a stick and a rubber glove. Though, I haven't used it in a long time

Cheers man. I quite like the brush on stuff. As I can push it into the joints with the brush. In say that though I did find a couple of bits I missed around the drip rails.
