Great idea to fix the ceramic shroud. I own a satsuma plate that long ago was broken into 4 pieces. It was repaired with brass staples, the care taken to repair the plate makes me appreciate it more. Im not suggesting you use brass staples, but a repair well done doesn't detract from the piece, it can add to it😊

That is a nice repair story! How many gaskets does the crown have ? (Rolex : one on the tube and three or four I think for the crown of the triplock)

I think a kintsugi repair on the shroud would look fantastic!

Hello, I have one from 1979. My question is regarding friction between the head and bezel. Is there suppose to be a nylon washer/spacer between the head and bezel? Can you recommend a part number, and where i can get it?

@@SpencerKleinVintageWatch Do you have a suggestion on where to look or who to contact for a gasket? I'm also looking for a new crystal and nothing is showing up in google searches.

I bought a used water damaged tuna 7009. Do you think it gonna be possible fix for noob? I didn't open inside yet just saw some rust on dial
@SpencerKleinVintageWatch2 жыл бұрын
Water does an impressive amount of damage, even if it is only a small amount. Watch parts were never designed for water. It all depends really. You won't know until you open it. I wouldn't either.
