That’s right, we can reverse a lot of our dis-eases by eating non-inflammatory foods.

Ooh you're in for a treat! Osun's Offering is such a culinary gift to the body. It serves as my "candied yams" (which I still love by the way) and is a nice alternative to all the butter, white and brown sugar that goes into yams. Thanks for sharing and commenting!

Thank you so much for posting this video guide to educate us about healthy Kwanza celebration. I’m growing most of these ingredients in my garden/food forest 🥬🧅🧄🫑🍠so I’ll definitely be making and trying these dishes throughout the year whenever I harvest. 🙏🏾

Oh I love that! These recipes are fantastic for the entire year and what's awesome is that Kwanzaa (even though celebrated the last 7 days of the year) is truly a holiday for a lifestyle. The principles are timeless as are the recipes. Enjoy :)

This is our 9th year celebrating Kwanzaa. It’s so beneficial to our kids. Recently I discovered some troublesome truth about the founder, but we still celebrate the principles, and not the (alleged) acts of the origins. Thanks for this video.

Every dish looks delicious. I also loved the look of your table; sharing with friends and loved ones is heartwarming. I need these recipes in my life. I have started a juice cleanse to reduce inflammation in my body, as soon as I complete my 30 days, I want to adopt this style of nourishing my body, mind, and spirit. Thank you, sis

You got yourself a new subscriber. I this principle. I couldn't celebrate Kwanzaa properly this year. But will do so next year with my daughter. Thanks for the inspiration 😊

Hey welcome to the Mindful Plate tribe! Glad the video inspired you, enjoy the rest of the Kwanzaa season....and if you can't celebrate the way you envisioned this year, you can still celebrate by writing your future-self a letter for Kwanzaa 2022----- telling yourself about how you plan to live out the principles in 2022 or pick a favorite principle to practice throughout the year :). there's no right or wrong way to celebrate Kwanzaa, as long as you do :)

I love this soothing video ! I don’t know much about Kwanzaa except the basic things that were taught to me in school when I was a kid . I alwaysssssss thought it was cool but growing up I Emmy grandmother was Christian & so was I & then I feel away from religions all together. I’ve realized I’ve always been more spiritual anyway 🌻 but as of recently I have a dream about my southern family in Carolina & Kwanzaa took place in my dream although I’m not sure what it meant . We’ve never celebrated it. I’m still trying to fine all the answers. 🤎
@TheMindfulPlate2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for highlighting this. I've been celebrating Kwanzaa since 1993....my family tradition goes a looooong way back AND I grew up in a Christian household. The 2 are not synonymous but rather complimentary. For a lot of Black American households there has been a struggle of which to celebrate. What's beautiful about Kwanzaa is that it's not based on religion, thus making it more inclusive. It's based on the Nguzo Saba or the 7 principles who's ideology is rooted in liberation and progress for people (especially Black people). It's a beautiful way to extend the festive holiday season and a great way to root yourself in mindful and progressive principles as the New Year approaches. I hope that this video fully supports your dream of bringing your folks together and starting a new tradition that strengthens ties across religions, age and even race. Everyone can benefit from these principles! And the food too!
