I haven’t slept more than 4 hours per night in over 10 years. Each week, I normally go 2-3 days with no sleep at all. No medications, no meditations, nothing has worked. I pray these suggestions help. That’s if I can remember them. Chronic sleep deprivation has caused memory deficiencies, attention and focus difficulties, decreased cognitive functions and overall attitude and mood swings that are deeply concerning from a health standpoint.

Hi Jim, Thanks for a very helpful video, I want to ask you one thing, I run a routine taught by Robbin Sharma that is 20/20/20/ formula every day. I wakeup, Drink 2 glasses of water, go to the washroom , return and do 20 Minutes Meditation then 20 minutes exercise and then 20 minutes educational training program. I heard some expert says wake up and exercise, some say meditate first. I want to ask you which one I should do first, exercise or meditation. Please reply so I can get the maximum benefit from my Victory Hour.

Any old meditation practice will not work. The technique matters. Yoga Nidra is ideal to vanquish insomnia; body scan meditations in general are even better than CBT-i to treat chronic sleeplessness. Bhramari pranayama followed by silent chanting of AUM in the background, Trataka, and progressive muscle relaxation can also help immensely. Self-Enquiry can remove any residual anxiety that is keeping you awake.

Sleep docs say losing a little weight may have a big impact on sleep quality for folks with marginal obstructive sleep apnea.
@edjrage77454 жыл бұрын
What do you mean by "marginal constructive sleep apnea"? Do you mean obstructive? And by "marginal" do you mean "not too bad"?
@Mark4Jesus4 жыл бұрын
@@edjrage7745 Yes, meant "obstructive". Fixed. And yes, marginal meaning just that. A little lost weight can push one back into non-apnea zone, from what a dentist specializing in sleep apnea devices told me. I'm marginally overweight, and have sleep apnea, enough to make me wake up every time I enter REM... so I get relief wearing a mandibular advancement device (MAD) at night. It basically just pulls my jaw forward which keeps my air passage open. Cheers.

Great information as far as the first two points but as far as the third... If you happen to be a Christian, Believers should avoid meditation. It causes you to enter an altered state of consciousness which opens you up to the spirit world. This is why it is so popular with new agers and occultist. We are to guard our hearts and minds, definitely not yield our minds and we are to avoid repetitive praying which is usually a part of yoga or contemplative prayer. The Bible tells us to meditate on the Word of God , as in to ponder it and study it. 😊 Blessings

When people say "processed foods" I know I'm dealing with hippie folk knowledge. Not necessarily entirely bullshit, but usually. What process? Cooking is a process.
@edjrage77454 жыл бұрын
Thing is, cooking is often necessary to destroy toxic or otherwise undesirable substances (with the added benefit of increasing the bioavailability of desirable ones), while other forms of processing often aren't. And yes, even cooking is a trade-off, since you often destroy other desirable nutrients and may add undesirable ones in the process. Just Google the nutritional profile of whole vs. blended and raw vs. steamed vs. cooked spinach to see what I mean. The simple rule is the more you process the food, the more likely it is that you're decreasing desirable nutrients and increasing undesirable ones.
