Nice fish, wanted to note and I could be wrong if those are just wading pant. But if your in chest waders best to take them off before fishing spots like that. One slip and fall in that deep water while fighting a fish could get sketchy real quick. I’m sure you were aware of your situation, just a safe warning 🎣

I was fishing winter steelhead a few years ago and it was super slow, low and clear water conditions. I threw a wiggler on and cast it across the stream and swung it like a spinner or spoon. Sure enough a steelhead followed it to my feet and swam off when I ran out of real estate. Never got a bite on that wiggler, but it was cool to watch that fish follow it.

Interesting...I caught kings and rainbows while tuning plugs on the side of the boat in Alaska, but never tried casting them! Salmon love kwikfish!

Very effective technique to have as option with you. So many people limit themselves to few ways and rigs. I like how you show others 👏. I always have some in my vest and it has saved the day. Where I fish has more current and often I can stand and let some line out slowly, stopping to let the plug wiggle back just like from a boat. Some different types, sizes, and colors. Works great for Steelhead and Salmon in many conditions adapting to location and condition. Awesome video Fish On !!!

I don’t often see people using them. I’ve had a lot of first cast fish with these kwikfish. It’s definitely worth trying out. I just cast them out, let them float down to where I want to start fishing, close the bail and get some tension and either let it work below the surface there, or slowly reel it in. Good luck! Thanks for watching

@AnglingAddictsPNW11 ай бұрын
@@wilsonflanders878 all of my smaller kwikfish have 1/0 hook on them. Kwikfish, small ring, small swivel, hook, and you’re good to go. I prefer the single hook over treble
