500 District Extension Workers Get Training to Boost Farming In Northern Uganda
Hon. Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny, the State Minister for Northern Uganda handed over office equipments; 3 laptops, printers, digital cameras & motorcycles to CAOs of the targeted districts in northern region to support implementation of the acquired skills at Makerere University Agricultural Research Institute Kabanyolo (MUARIK)
The training of 546 extension workers from Northern & Eastern Uganda was conducted by Makerere academic staff from @MakCAES, @MakCoNAS, @MakCoBAMS, @MakCOVAB, MUBS @narouganda.
With European Union EU 🇪🇺 Ministry of Agriculture, Office of the Prime Minister, Makerere support more than 500 extension staff selected from 29 districts in Northern 🇺🇬 have been empowered with new farming skills. They handed out start up equipment and certificates to support new jobs & livelihoods.
