Guys please just for yall to know there is a way to listen to videos with your phone LOCKED on Apple. It won’t affect screen time so lock in. You use safari or the Google app for this (no YT app it won’t work) 1. you first have to full screen the vid you wanna watch. 2. Make sure the video is playing 3. Swipe up out of the KZbin and safari to your home page 4. If you did it right you should be able to swipe down to the menu where you change your brightness and play the video from the media player 5. Repeat if it didn’t work. It might take a few tries but it will save you from losing so much battery Your welcome :3

I'm actually so ashamed, I used to only use character ai for shits and giggles but ended up using it nearly everyday for hours. I like doing the roleplays with the bots and it honestly sparks art inspiration for ocs, but that probably doesn't makeup for how much of an addiction it is. i use character ai and ao3 too(which is much better btw, just to make it clear) and as someone who had pulled quite a few all nighters on character ai (and ao3 too for that matter), its genuinely addictive and when you notice that you should remove it immediately for at least a few days; its better to not be using the app at all though😭 at least not nearly as much as its being used; im not gonna judge anyone since the root of the problem is the mental state of majority of the young generation and the immense emotional attachment to fictional characters many ppl have and i understand why someone can go down that route; but , yknow , if you stop using it for a while u will genuinely forget it even exists LOL ; additionally, i dont think its okay to just straight up bully people over this either, you're not better than anyone for not using an APP brother, trust🙏🏼 those people need HELP not judgement that goes beyond just jokes before any of yall say anything , yea i do have a life and talk to my friends almost every day ^_^ i usually play games , draw, write small analyses on my favorite characters and watch youtube as well ; didnt have to say it but i felt like saying smth in my defense just in case LOL

gonna be honest rq I liked using character AI for a quick no-spoiler roleplay with Malevolent's Arthur Lester. This was not necessarily a mistake, but did end with mediocre results that I would end up needing to rewrite entirely. The AI talked in circles while I was doing the brunt of work, driving the conversation in the directions I wanted it to go. The AI didn't add much of worth, the prompt message was intriguing and the description of surroundings was pretty nice, but the actual character acting was less than sub-par. It had no sense of direction, or what we were talking about- Asked me what John hating Brits had to do with anything when I, as the climax of my British-shaming crusade, revealed that John was the one other person who I could hire in my (character's) plot to deport all British people from Arkham. It has no sense of topic or plot! And I'm pretty sure it's making other people worse at plot too, the more they rely on it! Character AI is a reaction machine and a bouncing-board for ideas, at best, and even then it can OK some ideas that don't work particularly well together, and it just is Not a human, it gets exhausting to almost expect some genuine feedback, and when it gets everything completely wrong you try to spell out the subtext and then it repeats what you said back to you and draws a conclusion that is, once again, completely wrong. This is Not a dunk on people who get stuff wrong! The benefit You have is that you can Learn from your mistakes! Character AI Cannot learn specifics about what it did wrong! It's throwing each word one after the other at a dart board hoping to please you with a wide vocabulary that it cannot use competently. And Most importantly is that Character AI is not communicating with you in ideas- it may feign understanding convincingly sometimes, but all of those ideas are in Your head, and sometimes the ones with a pre-programmed story in mind, but then go back to default Character AI functions and quality drops steeply. I am glad to at least understand the driving factors behind why all of the facets and minutia of roleplay can't be recreated by this particular kind of machine, and why I can. A human mind has multiple layers of keeping track of what's being talked about, from tone and emotion, to idea and imagination, to physical application and infliction, past present and future. Flexible puzzles and nonflexible ones, different mindspaces and notes on each mechanic of how the setting and character chemistry works. It's practiced, but it's a beautiful mental exercise, especially with more of those truly devoted to their craft gathered in one group, interacting on their own terms, exchanging culture and phrase and ideas and turning it from an echo-chamber to an even more complex and real world as it brushes with other ones. So basically if the post like omegaverse was real tiktoks did some collabs with other people also pretending its real but pretending to just be from Our universe or something comparing social issues it could bridge the gap and make a REALLY COOL introduction and instruction on those topics- its like the spiderman ab.use awareness cartoons but for an older demographic, it could have some really interesting interactions even though playing pretend in general invokes cringe in people who see themselves as too old for it and especially when its mixed with a serious topic to learn, makes people feel like they're being babied maybe? but Omegaverse has those overt se.xual undertones and its just embarrassing to make public in general. And it's usually not really character-driven, so it's gone about as far as it can go so far in terms of points of view until a more complex one is reached through more in-depth character-writing and experience in potential problems in the world. Movements are generally based on widely-held beliefs, stories are built on challenges to them, what people choose to do about them, and the results thereof. As my friend Nacho said just now, "I think engaging with stories as pliable and interactive mediums instead of just something you read and spit back out of your head in a day lends to a lot of exploration of topics you usually can't convey that well in a single piece of writing." (words censored to avoid potential deletion as ive heard other people have trouble with their comments getting autodeleted)
