These are the best places in Kyiv, Ukraine (Kiev) to go for a walk with a date. We start in the old historical center of Podil, walk along the river, having lunch by the water, take the funicular tram up to the view points, walk across the friendship bridge, take photos with a hawk, secretly listened to a live symphony, and had one the best possible dates all without spending a more than a few bucks.

WOW, Johnny!! The orchestra blew me away! I arrive to Kyiv in August and will have to head that way. I would love just randomly walking by and then coming across that. When playing in a such a group, (I was never in such a large one, but...), I could not really "hear" properly. Once, as a special event, the audience sat amongst the orchestra and I will never forget this, nearly 50 years later!! The conductor has the "best seat in the house." I subbed for an orchestra teacher about six years ago and "had" to direct the kids, a group of about 20 and to be honest, I nearly cried. Music is my thing as it is so incredibly beautiful! In Kyiv, I also plan to watch a lot of the teams play American football which I also used to play. I will have a fun time in Kyiv, I think!

You can actually go to the Kyiv National Opera for about $15. I'd definitely suggest it if you have time.

@@gopro369 My trip went well and once I landed and went through the various checks, all was good. Not once did I have to show proof of health insurance but I did show my two COVID shots. A former student of mine with ties to Kyiv showed me around downtown, a couple of days before the Independence Day parade. All is going well so far. Thank you for asking!

Some of the best Thai food I've ever had was at a little place on Kreschatyk, across from the Metro. That was in 2016 - when I returned 2 years later, it had changed into a beer bar. Buddha Bar, just down the street, is very good, too - albeit a bit on the expensive side, but the atmosphere and music are great!

I have never been to Ukraine but for some reason I had this feeling the food there is excellent lol. I have been working my ass off since April to try get my moving van converted into a mobile home and travel to Ukraine before the winter starts here in Norway (and before they go crazy with the corona hysteria again and closes borders)

You gotta have very comfortable shoes when visiting Kiev. Everything is huge, from the streets, parks, etc. At the time I was there I lived in L.A. at the time (no one walks in L.A.). I was sore for days, that's why the ladies over there are so fit. Oh, and the craziest walking of all if when you visit the presidential palace. Rent a golf cart, you're welcomed.

You can tell that the one with a price of 219, 3rd one from the right, was ahi tuna. Or at least I can. It's one of the only types of fish you flash seer the entire outside and looks also has that dark texture like that. Easy to make, fairly cheap and incredible with some soy sauce/wasabi. You can even get "steaks" of ahi tuna for $6 or under and they still are great quality. Make it sometime if you get the chance, 30 seconds on each side, top/bottom outside edges and boom; Yummmy, yummy in my fucking tummy!
