Oleksandra Matviichuk has a very good point that russia in its long history has never, not once, been held accountable for what they've done, and it only fuels their blood thirst further. Even in the last thirty years they have a long blood trace behind them starting in Transnistria through Georgia through Chechnia through Syria all the way to Ukraine. Yet, it was never enough for the world to forsake their illusion about democratic russia and make them pay. For decades they remained a "respectable" player in the world politics. It's time for us all to face the obvious: the current world order can't establish peace; the UN doesn't work; and russia is a major threat to everybody. In the 90s these were Chechen children. Today they are Ukrainian. Tomorrow they can be yours.

Thank you for your great work on this film and your investigation into other Russian war crimes. I'm a Lithuanian-American who grew up hearing my refugee Lithuanian parents' horror stories about Russia's brutal occupation of the Baltics during WW2. Russia has been a terrorist state since it was founded by the Mongols in 1240. Corruption, cruelty, and violence have reigned supreme there ever since. May they face accountability and severe punishment for their most recent crimes in Ukraine.

Thank you for making this film, that must be very difficult to talk, to ask questions, to hear the heartbreaking stories of children killed by the criminal, ever lying regime that incites it's invading troops to commit murders in broad daylight and helps them to get away unpunished. There should be a much bigger outcry in the civilised democratic world against such barbarity! United Nations have no right to allow that terrorist country, calling itself Russia (should be ruZZia, for it's Nazism and ruscism), to sit and even preside on the Security Council, as no child is secure around that country borders, as their policy is genocide.

Thank you from the UK for this important and touching report. Your publication is a good example of journalism. It must be so hard for you to do your jobs, to talk about the most terrible events. Russia is a lying, depraved, terrorist state - their propagandists and the 'useless idiot' cheerleaders outside Russia are accomplices in murder and genocide. Russians glorify the most terrible criminals such as Prigozhin and his horde. As you say, brutality is a part of Russian culture, especially in their army. Each child in this film was beautiful and amazing in their own unique way, just like other children known to all of us outside Ukraine. Vladik. Katerina. Mikhailo. Each one is a heartbreaking loss for their family, friends and country. Every person murdered by the Russian army cannot be replaced. The children had their whole lives ahead of them. The awful news we hear of the crimes of Russia are not statistics. Ukraine will win against the Russian killers.

I have no words to offer and that is unusual for me. This should be shown on the BBC and all other major news platforms. Well, yeah, they were allies at the beginning of the war. The Soviet Union's plan was to do the same thing Germany did all across Europe and North Africa. The only reason why they fought against Germany at all was because Germany double-crossed them. If things had gone to Stalin's original plan, they would've been on the same side as Germany. The Soviet Union fought against fascists because the fascists rejected them, they were never truly "anti-facist."
