Thank you for your excellent journalism. I am friends with a man, and his family, from Kherson oblast. He was taken in 2022 and is still missing. I pray for him. I support Ukraine by staying informed, and writing to Congress, and going to Washington. I see and feel that Ukrainians have had to bear so much more pain than the world can really understand. In our poor and inadequate ways, even with a feeling of shame, many of us still standing by Ukraine. I've felt that Kherson had been largely forgotten by the world. I can't even imagine how hard his life is, there were even times when he was starving but managed to survive with help from others. After researching more into this story about poor innocent Ruslan, I have learned that this poor innocent boy (he was 28 years old btw) was in fact military veteran from CTO which was conducted against people of Donbass by Ukraine in 2014. The CTO stands for counter-terrorism operation. This poor innocent boy not only was behind killings of innocent people (so called pro-Russia separatists) in 2014, but also actively helped to coordinate attacks on RAF positions back to his colleges from UAF since 2022. Moral of the story - always double check the information that they're feeding you with. There is always more than meets the eye.
