Thanks to the bois for having me on and thanks for all the love in the comments here! Been making MTG content more and more lately, glad you enjoy it as much as I do. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for my attempt to make Locust God competitive.

Can you explain the deck name of Narset being the Gauss formula? I saw it and am not quite smart enough to decipher the meaning.
@quentonmcclure82333 жыл бұрын
@@tylerrogers9773 I think he was talking about it in the video. It is the formula to figure out how many spells you need to cast in order to win with aetherflux reservoir. Has other applications such as being the addition equivalent of factorial, but in relation to magic, all we care about is aetherflux type effects

It is called the Triangle Equation because the nth triangle number is defined as the sum of the first n numbers. If you arrange a triangle number number of "dots" you can put them in a triangle (think of the pins in a bowling lane). The first few are 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, ... And yes T_n = ((n(n+1))/2). Did not realize that formula had a name :)

Yeah, Narset is part of old EDH. She folds to the current meta more often. Still, it was cool to see her take a win. It's nice to see Kyle play cEDH. He usually dominates the games he plays on other channels, so seeing him evenly matched was kinda refreshing.

I guess the question about killing Thalia when you pretty much know Narset is going to get to swing is could Tyler win through a Thalia? I don’t know enough about Dargo to say
@leonardohuber82913 жыл бұрын
Dargo needs to cast several non creature spells a turn to win so it is clear why he wants to remove thalia. Maybe the timing was not good
@paulmcclain6423 жыл бұрын
@@leonardohuber8291 if that’s the case then killing Thalia and hoping Pyroblast is good enough seems reasonable. A bit of a gamble that your opponents also have interaction but totally reasonable.

What are the odds that Narset whiffs four times in a row? I saw the decklist, 31 lands (4 out at the time) and 6 creatures (1 out at the time). As a former Narset pilot, you hate to see whiffs.
@therealax63 жыл бұрын
Very low. Not seeing the cards in hand, we can assume there are around 90ish unknown cards, so that's 33×32×31×30 / (90×89×88×87), which will come out somewhere close to 1.5%. (I know what the exact value would be for the example I quoted, but since the number of unseen cards was an estimate, I don't want to quote it as an exact value.)
