He reached his glass ceiling toward the end of NXT's black and gold era. He'd be jobbing to Lashley, Corbin, Lesnar, Roman and Omos (Khali 2.0) by this point. Or in the 24/7 chase before being released

He definitely made the right decision if he felt that they didn't have any plans to use him the way he deserves to be used there's no point in staying we've seen it way to many times with people over the last few years they work their asses off in NXT build up a lot of momentum just to have it all thrown away as soon as they go to Raw or Smackdown And congratulations on the baby Kyle can't wait for you to get back in the ring I have a feeling there's some big big big things to come when he does

While I would have loved that Kyle stayed in WWE or NXT and became either a mid-card or main event guy it was obvious he was going to get lost in the shuffle. NXT 2.0 is trying to build a lot of new stars at the same time and while there's absolutely nothing wrong with that I think it was obvious for Kyle that he was going to get lost in the shuffle, either by being used as the guy to push new talent by either pairing them or with s feud or just the NXT veteran that pops up around PPV's or main events

He should have stayed man, in two years AEW have fallen from its glory days, WWE is having resurgence almost all the HHH guys are getting booked strong and presented. Storylines and promos and backstage morale are all high. Right now Kyle could have been competing for IC or US title.. Undisputed Era have lost all their aura..even Adam Cole was booked better under HHH, in AEW he is now a skinny manager of lack luster faction.

Bryan won the world championship within like two years and by 2013 was pinning Cena and Orton on back to back PPVs. AJ Styles won the WWE Championship within 9 months and once held the title for a year and only dropped the belt because he didn't want to hold it anymore. Punk was booked favorable and when he got over on his own the WWE got behind him. And so on. Vince doesn't care about size anymore.

I think the releases were somewhat strategic. I think with all their additions besides cm punk and Bryan, it wouldn't really push the ratings up with or without them. With WWE releasing all these wrestlers, it increases aew's spending while not making more money. Aew looks to already be struggling with their talent budget with Cody leaving.

Kyle is great in the ring. I loved his War Games matches and I loved Undisputed Era, but with that said he had no future in WWE. Once Adam Cole departed for AEW Kyle was gonna go completely off the radar. He's gotta work more on his charisma/mic abilities. But I'm really glad he's back with Cole and Fish at AEW. There's A LOT of good storylines available for them at AEW.

He killed the push himself by having a *horrendous* babyface run doing his "Cool Kyle" schtick and having zero charisma or mic skills. They gave him the ball and he didn't just drop it...he spiked it. He, as a babyface, basically had X-Pac heat with the NXT crowd. Always been best in a workrate tag team/ Adam Cole's lackey and he always will be. Don't miss him in the slightest. Way prefer the show now that it has actual characters besides "vanilla high-workrate midget". Grayson Waller takes shits more charismatic than KOR.

Kyle, and a lot of the ex WWE guys, all act like they would have been the next Rock or Stone Cold but weren't given the chance. None of them have left WWE and set the wrestling world on fire. Not one. Also, Kyle had issues with NXT 2.0 talent not being fans of wrestling. Who cares? I don't need the actors I watch in movies or TV shows to like acting. I don't need the football players I cheer for to actually like football. The only thing that matters is that you're good at what you do. I see a lot of marks in AEW who "love the business" and they're terrible. Guys like Hogan, Andre, Warrior, Sting, Luger, Goldberg, Lesnar, Angle, Styles, weren't fans of wrestling before they got into it.
