If you live in the salt belt make sure you pull the tire down occasionally and spray the mechanism with Fluid Film to prevent them for rusting and sticking

Yes. Every time I get my tires rotated I ask them to check the air pressure on the spare.

Dropped the spare on my truck when I had a flat. The spare did not have enough air pressure to drive. Thankfully a good person stopped to help.The spare was only 2 years old.

Now I know to later get a 5th OEM rim for the spare for my soon to be mine Frontier, thanks for the quick guide 🙂 also its always best carry a "cross" lug nut breaker if you live in a very hot and humid area like I do in deep South Texas that can make those lug nuts a nightmare. Especially if you need to put your foot and body weight and the L shape ones will wear out like it did to my Sentra.

For your information, you are talking about the four-door Nissan. I have a 2022 Frontier King cab, and the tire-changing kit is behind the front seats on the rear bed. I took out those stupid jump seats, which gave me plenty of room for groceries and other items.

I got them off etsy. I believe most of them are made from the same place and just sold through different names. Just make sure to look for the 3d or raised letters. If not it will just be the flat vinyl.

My 2004 Frontier has the same set up, it hasn't changed. Good luck if you have a flat at night, that slot isn't easy to find.

Thanks you. It would be past the tailgate but the rod would hit the tailgate before it's able to lay flat since the opening is so close to the bottom of it.

You mentioned you secured the chain under the spare as it hangs down. How did you do this successfully without it falling through the spare holes again?

I kinda wrapped the chain into itself then tightened the mechanism as much as it would go. The bracket on the end squished the chain up and tight enough it doesn't fall back down
