Ive always taken an almost freestyle approach to mixing. I jump all over the place. I'm really bad at developing my work flow so I take way to long to finish projects. Some really good ideas in here.

Kyle! I've been making beats for many years and the select all - random color just saved me so much time..... This channel is special to me because of those little things I've caught. (the transient grading and slicex reverse in particular). Just wanted to say its appreciated.

I just learned today after all these years you can split by channel if everything is in pattern 1. I've been manually copy pasting my whole life. that saves so much time.

In the Channel Rack, you can also hold down shift and left click + drag over the like rectangles to the right of the channels to select them in bulk. While still holding shift, you can left click one you selected to deselect it as well!

What does it mean to "master" the song - like why does mastering it, ruin it if an artist want to rap over it?
@defte1989 Жыл бұрын
When you upload a mastered beat on streaming platforms(,youtube, beatstars, etc,)that beat already is at the top of volume so people can listen to it clearly, but if an artist want to put his vocals on a beat that its already mastered, the vocals won't have any space and there will be lots of distortion, that is why you should upload a version of the beat that is already mastered so people can listen to it clearly, and other version unmastered, so the artist can add his vocals and other elements with more flexibility
