Not sure why so many people are decrying the lack of “new features” on the 16 Pro then I learn they are comparing it to the 15 Pro (or Pro Max). Why would anyone update their phone every year? I mean…if you drive a 2024 Ford F-150 and look at the 2025 F-150, what do you expect to find? Another USB-C port for the passengers? I am actually upgrading my phone to the 16Pro max. The only reason is because I have an iPhone 8 so I am eight generations behind. I reached out to my provider and other sources and they stopped supporting my iPhone 8 and also to repair the speaker and everything else along with my charger port is too much money.in addition, my iPhone 8 no longer receive calls using my speaker or putting the phone on my ear. I have to use Bluetooth headsets just for me to talk to another person on my phone.

I think a telltale sign that the capture button wasn’t going to be great was the fact that they added it to the regular models. There’s just no way Apple would give a genuinely good feature to the normal phones at the same time as the pros, unless it was a bit unfinished and they needed more user input to see how to change/make it better. Wouldn’t be surprised if next year they fix every issue with the capture button but only apply those changes to the Pro models as a “Pro” feature.

I turned off my Camera Control, because it unfortunately becomes an obstacle when trying to hold my phone certain ways and accidentally pressing it too hard. I have too many photos already of my car’s windshield because of the phone mount in my car grabbing onto the button. I had to buy a magsafe accesory for my car which I’ve never really needed lol.

Battery life was awesome because I upgraded from the 12 mini and was at 96 percent and watched 3 hours of NFL RedZone and NASCAR and was at 52 percent at 5:30 because I had no WiFi due to my area being affected by hurricane Helene and it was so much fun and no complaints at all.

If you’re like me and like to take tons of photos and videos and record lots of audio, the couple hundred bucks up front to double your storage is well worth it. I have an 11 Pro with 256 GB, and only in the past few months have I been finding the storage to reach its limits and slow the overall experience down. I also use iCloud Photos because I have over 70,000 photos and videos from the past decade. I always lean into a little bit of future proofing for peace of mind.

I think part of it is because I am a musician and I'm constantly recording rehearsals, gigs, demos, meetings, interviews, and just about everything else-so the audio recording app I use has 80 GB of just audio taking up space on my phone. And I record in MP3 so it's not like those are all wave files. I also tend to keep some music downloaded in Spotify for when I don't have cell service. Off the top of my head, those are probably the main offenders.

I only use magsafe to hold my phone in the car. I never charge with magsafe. I've read people that did use magsafe charging over this past year on the 150 pro max, and they had worse battery health than people that never used magsafe chargers.

if you record any video, it is nice to have more options there - but I can't say either way, it's really a personal choice. If you're happy with your setup, no need to change anything but if you're looking for something newer with more features, it may be worth trying. You do have a couple weeks return window if you decide it's not for you.

If you feel like 12Mp photos isn't high enough resolution. I would say it's worth the upgrade. If that's something you haven't even thought about, then the upgrade is probably not worth it. In my opinion, that's the main thing that actually makes a difference in daily life. Because, on your 13 Pro Max, you still have great battery life. Great performance. A very good screen. The ability to take ProRAW photos. And great camera sensors, with the main "downside" being that they're all limited to 12Mp (although there are some positives to that even).

If you have 15 pro, it's not worth update, but for me it was, just becuase of smaller bezels and larger screen by 2 inch. Max PRO was too big for me and 15 pro size was OK, but I wanted a bit larger screen. Now - for me it's best size, for my girlfriend it's too big, so she stick with 15 PRO and later I have no idea what she will do as there are no small factor pro phones anymore. The cameras - WTF, same cammeras, maybe its a bit worse than 15 PRO I have no idea what apple was thinking on upgrading cameras on paper but downgrading in reallity.

Had the 16p for a week and returned it so I can keep using my 13p. Very little major changes tbh. Only good upgrades were usb.c and slightly biggee screen.

It's SO PRO!😂 soon Apple will introduce a phone with a hige camera and you have ro pay extra for the phone feature.
