I returned my 7 Black that cannot be used in cold temps. I had this camera before & was bullet proof in the cold until I lost it in a snowmobile wipeout! Just found one on Craigslist for $30 with the LCD Backpack, 2 batteries & a charger, helmet & chest strap!

Hey, you cant actually connect your gopro hero 1 or 2 to the app seeing that they are older versions and dont have inbuilt wifi. So im sorry but if your really want camera to phone connection you will have to buy a hero 3, 3+, 4, 4 session or just a gorpo hero

Hey your video is really helpful. I do have a question though had my hero one for over a year now worked great haven't used it in a while so i charged it up because the battery was dead. The screen now has that funny symbol almost looking like a E with the top line off and then EL and it won't do anything else but that any suggestions?

That is weird, I would try using a different SD card or maybe different battery. If this dose not work you should contact GoPro support.

how do I do a hard reset? My gopro hero first gen just like the one in the video shuts off and stops recording randomly while on my gokart. I made sure battery was full charged and card was completely empty... dont know whats up. maybe a reset will fix it.

Click and hold the shutter button and it will bring you to the "one button mode" and just turn it off man!

Thanks for posting this. I've been having trouble with the settings on mine. So this answered a lot of questions I've had. One thing I'm not sure about though, you might have mentioned it and I just didn't catch it. But, the audio seems muffled and the video is blurry when I record inside. Both in my waterproof case and out of it. But it seems clear when recording outside. Is there a setting to change to have that clear both inside and outside?

To use the GoPro remote with the HERO1 you need the WiFi BacPac, and then yes it will work.
