for any underclassmen, 1550 is a very high score so please don’t get discouraged if your score ends up being 1300 or even 1250

The question is this: where is answer A (B or C or D) said in the passage. This is specifically for the reading but for math my tip is be logical. But you are right that not all people can get a 1500

Might as well update this. Looking back at it now, while a lot of our profile was similar, we did differ in a few areas. I ended up getting into Brown, Yale, MIT, and a couple BS/MDs. The decision I landed on was MIT. Thanks for the advice, and I am happy to see you are doing well!

I'm a sophomore and literally terrified of the extracurricular part of applications. I'm an introvert, so I literally don't do anything that has to do with groups of people whatsoever. I also don't play sports or instruments :(

Don't stress yourself out too much, if you need assurance, I'm a senior in highschool, and have no extracurriculars. And I'm going towards a below average university. You still have time to do stuff. So take action right now. Go volunteer or join a group, or help out your community. (Or be good at writing essays) You're going to have to get out of your shell if you're actually going to these selective schools. Or go into community college, work your ass off, and go to a university. Good luck! There's always a path for everyone.

That’s totally ok imo, I’m an introvert as well and I believe it can be an advantage because you can shine in your own unique way and maybe write a cool college essay about being introverted while still following your interests. There are tons of extracurricular activities that can set you apart :) good luck

You can volunteer then! Volunteering doesn't have to be in groups so you could maybe join a volunteering club at your group and go to events on your own or just find like a food bank or something in your city that you can volunteer at. You could also try to start a club to connect with other introverts! (it could look good and you could talk about leadership and struggling to interact with people because you're an introvert, etc.)

So many people do lots of extracurriculars all over the place and don't have time to commit to any of the activities because they're jumping back and forth. It’s so great to plan ahead so good for you! I’m in 9th grade and have been preparing myself as much as possible. Just an FYI since your like myself lol, volunteer young!! If a university sees a student that only started In grade 11 or 12 they might be like “welll… they’re probably only starting now because they’re only now thinking of they’re future” but! If they see that you’ve been a well rounded person for YEARS! That makes a huge difference. So it’s great your informing yourself young!
