why did old 2000’s music sound so futuristic? it’s what you think we would be listening to now but we’re not. (edit since some of kylie’s fans are butthurt): by saying “listening to now” i meant THE MUSIC THE GENERAL PUBLIC IS INTO CURRENTLY not literally the people who are listening to this. i obviously know people still listen to this because im here hello??... what i meant was you’d think since we’re so ahead in technology this futuristic vibe would still be present in pop but it’s not what’s popular to listen to anymore. that’s literally all i meant. i can’t believe i had to explain this... 💀

It was 2002, and I was 2 or 3 yrs old, and this song was playing in a hygiene commercial or something, I think it was shampoo, and ever since then, the hook, and the melody was stuck in my head. It would just pop up out of nowhere and I would wonder what song this was, and it frustrated me, it was and forever will be the ultimate earworm. 9 years later I became a Madonna fan, going through her never ending catalogue of music on KZbin, and whenever I searched up Madonna, I would get Kylie as a suggestion, but I wasn't interested; I too caught up with Confessions on a Dancefloor. One day I did click on this perfect pop star, and went through the suggested songs and eventually got to this song. Literally, the first five seconds of the song I was like "OMG I KNOW THIS SONG FROM A SHAMPOO COMMERICAL!!!" and now I listen to this song almost everyday.
