(1989) Gossip columnists have written her off as 'the singing budgie'; radio stations declare themselves 'Kylie-free zones'. It seems half the country just loves Kylie Minogue, the other half hates her with a passion. A huge publicity campaign made Minogue a star, and it went close to breaking her. In the past, Kylie's simply shrugged off the Minogue-haters and her problems with the media. But now she's fighting back. She invited Jennifer Byrne on to the set of her first movie, 'The Delinquents', to see and hear the 'new' Kylie. In a remarkable interview, she admits people do see her as a bimbo: 'I was in a soapie, I'm blonde ... I must be dumb.' For the first time, Kylie tells just how close she came to a nervous breakdown.
