Unfortunately the USA has always slept on her (maybe aside from the gays!). Huge everywhere else around the world pretty much. She’s almost 56 with 37 years consistently making music, there’s plenty for you to go back and explore if u ever desired lol! My favourite album and tour is Aphrodite from 2010 so I’d definitely recommend that, but her last album before her most recent, Disco from 2020, is a great listen too and shows her most recent work before Tension and Padam Padam. But to put it in to context, she’s had 10 studio albums just since 2000 alone when it seems like you last were aware of her (16 in total since 1987)… even just the last four in the U.K. have hit no2 (Kiss Me Once 2014), no1 (Golden 2018), no1 (Disco 2020) and no1 (Tension 2023), and no album had peaked lower than no.6. She’s now the ONLY female artist ever in the U.K. to have at least one no1 album in 5 consecutive decades (80s, 90s, 00s, 10s, & 20s), making her one of only five other artists to ever share this achievement, alongside Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Paul Weller and Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour - some big names she’s up there with! And with nine no1 albums so far she has now overtaken Elton John and George Michael in the all-time charts leaderboard. She’s also just won a Grammy (her second) for Padam Padam last week! And she’s also halfway through a Las Vegas residency at the Venetian. Goddess of pop!! 🔥🙌🏼❤️
