I like this album a lot but I feel like in this record her voice is a lot less in the front, it's edited to be quite robotic and well "basic". The album sounds damn good but her vocals are smoothed so all the Kylie magic missing from that department. In Padam Padam live U hear the difference. Still an amazing record just not one that showcases her lovely voice. It's definitely her strongest since Aphrodite and I want to hear it in clubs

The "AI/media Kylie" demonstrates this in the Tension video by minimizing the "Showgirl Kylie". It's what sells and we know that Kylie can defend her natural register live and surpass those in the recording studio.

This was not what I expected. After Padam and Tension I expected a more electro club sound throughout! While at the very beginning I was slightly let down, by the end, and especially after a couple listens, I was so happy I was wrong! This is such a Kylie album in the best way possible! It’s so fun and quirky, and there’s such a diverse array of influences that Her Serene Highness somehow manages to caress into a beautifully cohesive album. Kylie really understands her fan base because there’s standouts here for every different genre of #Lover! It’s also extra special that she’s still so good 35 years in the business, and at her 16th studio album. Really hoping this goes #1 in the UK, and at least #2 in Australia but even if it doesn’t this is such a triumph!😇

This album is incredible. There is not one track that I skip and that's very unusual for me. Kylie has said 'Story' is a personal track... interesting. I can't pick a favourite song because they are all incredible in their own way and how you are feeling too. Thank you for your reactions and honesty. My favourite songs (aside from the singles) are Story, Hands and Just Imagine. I love the album as a whole, one more time is the track im not feeling. Tension is new and its always easy to rank a new album in the wrong place on a few listens, but when the dust settles, i feel certain it will be up there with her best. So many of her songs sound like little oddities on the first listen, but they serve to be her best. Story is just an epic landslide of slamming power pop that i would love to be a single. Awesome reaction as always. Love logging on to youtube and seeing a new one from you. You really do live the moment for the duration of what you are reacting to. So thank you 💙

Nobody does straight up dance pop better than Kylie. Not 20 years ago, not now... The album is an absolute smash. It's fun, it's sad, it's cohesive and yet it still tells a story despite what she said about just wanting to create a fun celebratory dance album tinged by 80's nostalgia... Well it is, but that's like saying the Mona Lisa is a boardwalk sketch... And after the last 3 years it feels very cathartic to listen to... 5/5! Best pop album of the year so far... Also hope she follows this up with another album next year... I love when artists do a back to back drop... Rihanna used to all the time as did Kylie in the early years...

I also agree about Love Train, its inclusion is especially weird when you consider she had two unreleased bangers (Running and Vegas Baby) up her sleeve which would have fit the deluxe so much better.. but it seems wrong to complain when she’s put together an album as stunning as Tension is. Yay glad to see your reaction up! I love tracks 1-8, 1-4 especially are Top Tier. The start of Hands, it’s a guy who was on the demo and they changed it to sound like a women’s voice. Green Light is like Spinning Arounds cousin. Vegas High is good but I’m not enjoying as much as other people are. 10/10 I’ve never really liked it that much it’s ok. Story I love, apart from the really high bit, but a great way to end the album. Love Train is in the same vein as Fine Wine a fun throwaway track. Just Imagine is amazing but way too short. Sounds like Lost Without You’s sister was shocked when it wasn’t the same writing team. Somebody to Love is glorious!

just been on insta and found out the story behind story (pun intended 🤭) kylie said “it meant a lot to me to write this song. I had to overcome things and get through a difficult period and I’m acknowledging that for my sake. There’s something about the dichotomy of the loneliness you feel and the help you get from people who will support you through any difficulty that I can’t put in words as well as I put in the lyrics. Once you get through it, you appreciate that the people who were helping you will never know how much they are part of your story and how much they’ve helped you, in ways that you can never repay them.
