CONCERTINA / ACCORDION BOOK - PAGE 42: INCORPORATING HIDDEN POCKETS

In this video I create page 42 in my concertina/ accordion book - I decided to shake up my process a bit and use larger scraps and do a pen and ink drawing. I also incorporate two hidden pockets. This journal is about using my scraps and my stash of papers as well as a variety of art supplies. It's about turning trash to treasure or turning unused items to treasure. It is a mix of junk journaling and art journaling. It is a bit different - to usual journals as I will creating the journal page by page each week. The concertina / accordion journal I am creating can be regarded as an #artjournal or a #junkjournal - it's up to you what you want to call yours.Whatever you call it, I will be showing how you can create each page using #collage and #mixedmediatechniques . Whether art journal pages or #junkjournalpages we are going to have fun turning #trashtotreasure. Whatever your style or preference for #journaling you can adapt this project to do what you enjoy most. Have fun.

Glad you are going to record your feeling ps about going barefoot in the garden! That’s an experience you will want to revisit! My mom used to like to do that! I may do that this week, too!!! I see the bird flying up to your tree in which you made look very easy to draw. We'll see.. I also see the moon shining through the branches in the upper left-hand corner. I too take my shoes and socks off and ground to the earth when I'm outside. I hear it's good for our body but whether or not that is true it sure makes my heart Happy

I love looking for "things" in abstract or accidental art! I saw the owl. (Although I saw a bird, that's what I'm most familiar with. I've seen a few owls, but they don't come to mind first!) I love the tree. It developed a wonderful and if it is the moon, then it must be an owl flying by. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤

Oh Kylie, I love this owl, tree, moon page you've created and the inspiration behind it. Your garden is beautiful... I don't even have access to the back green from my city tenement flat although I can look out to the trees. Good to see you've regained mobility in your wrist.
