I used this in my south/southwest facing living room with a massive floor to ceiling bay window. LOVED it in the morning (warm light neutral), loved it even more late afternoon and early evening (warm neutral with that earthiness) but high noon it took on a cool silvery tone. I could almost see lavender. I like a purple undertone - have silver satin in the kitchen - but i wasn't expecting that from Revere Pewter

LOVE your color analysis! So glad to see more videos from you. I’ve watched all the others AND I’m a frequent visitor to your website. Excellent info there, too! Thanks for all you do.

Thank you for this video! I love all your videos. I initially thought "eeeww. That gray is too beige". I started playing with stonington, nimbus, and smoke embers to name a few and realized "nope. I was wrong. Let's try revere pewter". And when I sampled it on my kitchen cabinet my mind went "aha! The goldilock of grays for me!" Lesson learned. Don't always judge a paint color. May need to try it out first.

It's so true! Of MANY grays, it's one that's likely to be more timeless as we shift into warmer trends.

@KylieMInteriorsPaint guess what? I changed my mind. I love revere pewter but it doesn't work in my dark small kitchen because it turns muddy in the afternoon. I lightened it 25 percent and the green wasn't as prominent anymore. And then I found Seattle Mist! I know it is not trendy but it's beautiful. It has a similar lrv to revere pewter but has less depth which works well in my kitchen.

I love Revere Pewter! Painted the interior of our last house and thinking about it for our new house. We have a huge open living room which faces south so I think it will look pretty. Thank you 🎉

It is soooo pretty! Just remember that colors can look different in different exposures/lighting conditions, so just double-check it first :)

How did it work? I have a south facing open living room with high ceilings and I am debating to paint Revere pewter. Kylie, what do you think?

What is your thought on Revere Pewter and Taos Taupe!?
@seanphelpsyoga50638 ай бұрын
Yup added urbane bronze to darken it up in one room and rust in another. I don’t understand how people don’t add a little color to them when you have different rooms from all different directions. Color in particular was green at the front door gray in the mudroom. But if you do, add color and less is more, you can’t go back.

I loooove Urbane Bronze, and the thought of it with rust and Revere Pewter in a palette makes me SUPER happy.

@@KylieMInteriorsPaintI tried urbane bronze next to my fireplace and it was beyond gorgeous! But it’s just way too much/too dark for the 22ft high wall. And so I came to this video, curious abt Revere

You said you wouldn't recommend Revere Pewter in a dark room or area with limited natural light. What about as a kitchen cabinet color in a limited light room? With 25% lightened Edgecomb Gray walls. (And I hang my head as I admit to having all white appliances still and warm beige (slight orange undertones) 12" square look linoleum....and dark granite look counters.) Doing what I can to try to make this room look more modern and feel good to spend time in.

Oooo, you know, it's so hard to say without SEEING the room. I mean, my kitchen has 'lower' lighting, but I wouldn't say it's dark - it's more 'average' and I have Revere Pewter 25% darker on my cabinets. However, my walls are BM White Dove, just to up the energy/contrast between the cabinets/walls. At one time I had these cabinets with Edgecomb 75% lighter and it all felt just a touch flat for me.

Question for the experts ... While we looked at Revere Pewter for our basement walls (low lighting), we have to look for something a bit darker as our trim/doors are Edgecomb Gray. Would LOVE recommendations!

What color would you recommend for front door interior with RP walls and white dove trim. I really like greens.

Ooo, there are a ton of lovely ones. I love SW Cast Iron, personally. BM Ashwood Moss is pretty too if you like some serious depth.

Love how it goes with honey oak. However, it sounds like my lighting is bad muddy. I am looking for the whole house color. Would lightening by 50% make it work? Or should I walk away from Revere pewter?
@KylieMInteriorsPaint6 ай бұрын
Oh, it could be SO PRETTY with honey oak! If you need something softer, how about the likes of BM Edgecomb Gray? This being said, Revere Pewter does lighten up nicely! You get a new color with similar roots.

What about Alabaster trim with Revere Pewter ... in a North Facing room, with decent natural light? ... lol

Hi Kylie! When you say Revere Pewter is out of the trend for cabinets, color, which ones do you think are good replacement?
@KylieMInteriorsPaint7 ай бұрын
Oh gosh, that's a loaded question! It alllll depends on your interior finishes, for sure. I mean, I have Revere Pewter on my cabinets and LOVE THEM, but if i were to change, and if it suited my finishes, I'd check out the likes of SW Accessible Beige. OR I'd go to white, which is always timeless :). Oooo, BM Pashmina is a stunner, too!
