I have a Super 8 moped I purchased for my daughter, it had been seized because of a faulty 2 stroke oil pump, the guy replace the oil pump and decided to get a 75cc big bore kit without getting the necessary jet kit for the carb (or so I am lead to believe), it has a sports exhaust and a sport air filter on it. Now my problem is that the bike starts perfectly, ticks over lovely then pulls away fine, then a couple yards down the road the bike just dies. I believe its the main jet thats the issue. I purchased a mikuni carb for it but when it arrived it was the push in variety not the bolt in sort. So I thought ok I will just swap the jets over.. No.. different thread sizes.. the mikuni is larger and will not fit. So I am a bit stuck now. I have both the idle and main jets pulled and in my hand (including the stem on the main jet), the idle jet reads as 35 (this is one long jet not a stem with jet screwed in) and the main jet reads as 85 (and is in a stem that it can be unscrewed from) however I have no idea what size it should be for the 75cc big bore nor where i can find out where to buy the smaller thread size jets from PLEASE HELP!! I am going INSANE!! Oh and I liked and subscribed (so please help lol). Also the bike is a two stroke. I also had a plastic disc that i put a hole in and put that in the air filter manifold (so as to restrict air flow) and this did help the bike rev more but it still cuts out. Awesome videos by the way, I am an old biker with a 1000cc Harley, but I know nothing about these scooters. However your video's are a great help. Keep up the great work!

Hey there I got a question for you, I have a super 8 50 2t, I bought the naraku 70cc kit for the scoot. It came with no instructions or markings on the piston, no arrow or anything. Do you know if the side with rectangular window on the piston is the exhaust side or intake side? Do you sell replacement reeds for this 2t Super 8?

How's it going, buddy? If you don't mind, I have a question? How do I get my new unrestricted CDI box to turn over. It's the correct on and not damaged. The original one still works, so there is nothing wrong with the moped. I was a video saying flipping the kill switch, but my moped don't have a kill switch. It's a kymco agility 49cc 2009 please can you help a brother out I'm née to the game 😅😅

Thanks for the vidz guys. I have a 2013 super 8 and cannot for the life of me find the 8 pin cdi schematics. Everyone I see shows pink or violet wires and mine has neither. Came with an 8pin but only has 6 wires. I'm going to scream lol

I agree Thomas! It only saw it do 39 maybe 40 Mph...the final drive gears need to be changed to a lower ratio in order to go faster unless you can pull a higher rpm out of the crankshaft somehow in order to reach a higher top speed and/or get a larger diameter variator pulley and heavier boss bearings to push the belt out farther to the OD extents of the pulley which would spin the clutch at just a little higher max rpm into the final drivel gear set,

​@@SuperBongfacethat and supposedly you can run slightly longer belts !. Someone really really needs to come up with a set of gears for these it's lame ! .. top speed is around 50-55 with a BBK and perfectly tuned carb and drive train

I bought a 19mm Arreche carb for it but it has a different top on it then the factory screw on top and cannot figure out how to get the cable out of the top of the stock carb so that I can put the cable in the Arreche carb.....could you tell me how to do this please? buy a kit from aliexpress i have one 2 its much faster and the kit only costs about 15 dollar buy a A9 cam with it and your bike will be pretty fast.

That's a good boy burn it up before you even broke new system in great thinking look at me . Im on KZbin doing 40mph . if you took it easier let motor break in you most aptly would squeeze 8 or 10 mph more out of it but you just go right on full throttle. MY 2000 Zuma cw50 will rip past you in a heart beat and that is all stock because I learned at a very young age to take good care of my possessions and then they work top notch and last I'm happy that you're happy though enjoy

If it's a Minarelli clone then check the airbox, variator, exhaust (just buy a sports exhaust so you can switch back to the original if needed), carb jetting should be changed (richer), intake might be restricted on some bikes.

I have the same bike. Only difference is mine is a 2011 and it came with a shitty air filer that loves to suck in water. Not only that but I'm missing the battery cover and the plastic underneath the seat and I cant find it anywhere. Dont suppose anyone could drop a link? Preferably one that ships from the UK.

My opinion wouldn't bother buy upgrade parts for 50cc scooter it's not worth it a 70cc kit or high performance ones is gonna make it any more faster the best thing is to sell or trade your scooter for 125cc or 150cc lot cheaper

Stephen Peplow some states won't let a kid ride anything above 50 CC's on a highway. It would have to be registered as a motorcycle. This is a good way around that.

Why even bother upgrading a 50cc hairdryer? You're not gaining anything worth bragging about lol, you're better off saving those pennies and buying a motorbike. Google brought me here as i'm searching for torque settings for the kymco super 8 125cc hairdryer as i'm replacing my friends rotten exhaust with a brand new unit and he didn't get the manual with it, so this video was of no help.

The reason you upgrade these bikes is not for bragging rights, but to have more power and remain as 50cc. With a 50cc you don’t need a motorcycle license, you don’t need license plates (just a sticker $5.85 for 3 years). Insurance is mega cheap, and probably the number 1 reason: you can park on the side walk Downtown, and not pay for parking saving thousands a year. I hope this clears up your confusion.
