Thanks for the shout out :) Unlucky with the fan, I've had a few stop and it was just grit or debris caught in there. They have very little torque so the smallest obstruction will stop their rotation. I also cut a hole in the shroud - good for air getting in but there's no air flow for the hot air to escape, the net will solve this completely. Beautiful interior man, I have to get one. Great video!

Thanks, and I'm pretty happy with the interior. The dude at the hobby shop was saying his Slash ran hotter with the net on and he couldn't figure it out until he took it off. But I would think the net would be cooler than the cover for sure. (sigh) choices.. 🤷♂ and the fan I tried hand spinning it, but it just twitches a little. 😕

@@scaleworksRC I went through a few net designs, just make sure there's clearance and no slack bits that could catch. I made mine from a doorway mosquito net with velcro, zip ties and hairpins haha proper ghetto but keeps the big bits out. Looking forward to next video :)

Yeah, it's all good to go, just still having issues w the fan. I need to get a voltmeter and see what's going on and also run it through a BEC maybe? Seems like it's not getting enough voltage 🤔✌️

Nice work mate 👍 I hate to leave one of my RC’s down and out so even a temp fix is better than no fix 😃

@@RallyandTrail 💯 I have a couple that are down and it bugs the crap out of me, but they don't get much use anyhow. 😁

Hey Fella! Just checking out your channel as promised! You've got some cool stuff here man, I will be checking out your back catalogue over the next few weeks for sure.... and of course dropping you a sub! 👍 Loving the rally Fazer, and that awesome Scooby body! 👌 I have a couple of Fazers, albeit the on road version. They are a great tough little chassis, substantially better than Tamiyas TTO2 platform. But, they are not without their issues! The steering and suspension does lack adjustability, they run very hot on the stock electronics, and the gearbox's are extremely loud! But, I love thrashing my 1970 Charger about.... the 550 motor gives it plenty of torque, and a decent top end! I love the lexan dust cover on the Rally ones. I've had many issues with small stones and gravel with mine. They have jammed up on the brake calipers and wheel internals, I regularly get them jamming the steering servo travel up, as well as jamming between the internal chassis and the prop shaft... which then strips it as it rubs. I've also had small stones get inside the motor fan and jam the motor up! But like I say, it's a real fun runner..... and probably more my fault for taking it off road! Kyosho produce some lovely bodies for the Fazer, especially some of the classic vintage American cars! Looking forward to checking out some of your other videos Sir! 😊 👍 👍 👍

Thank you for the kind words, and it sounds like you have been through it all with the Fazer. I saved the first motor to mess around with later because I suspect it's something like you said. A small stone jammed in there, or my negative wire was rubbing on the end of the motor for too long. Super fun car, and I was very pleased with how easy a motor swap went. The issue I'm having now, Is the aftermarket fan that goes on the motor heat sink isn't getting the proper voltage from the stock Kyosho receiver, so I have to put a BEC in there now to make it work. I'm focusing on the TT02 lately, so maybe a cool action video next week. Glad you enjoy, and I need to check out more of your stuff as well

@@scaleworksRC Always something eh fella?! Mind you, it's all part of the hobby.... Fault finding, improving, and tinkering! 😂 Yeah, I've had a fair few issues on this one, but like I say..... mines the on road version and I mainly drive it off road, so many of the issues are self inflicted, and a direct result of the gravel terrain! But, mines dressed up as the almighty General Lee...... so it needs to be driven in this manner, or Sheriff Rosco will be catching me up!! 😂 I think the hobby wing 1060 esc it comes with is really working at its limit with the stock 14 turn 550 motor, both items get very hot, especially running on 2s or 3s rather than NMH. I regularly find it goes into limp mode, especially in the summer. Yeah, I did cook my first motor in this one to..... a small stone jammed up the inbuilt fan on the motor which stopped the rotor turning! Ended up with a puff of magic blue smoke! 😂 I noticed how you had covered this part on yours..... good idea, especially if you can get the external fan working correctly. I am tempted to pick up the rally version of the Fazer mk2, but am in two minds as I also have my heart set on the Tamiya XVO1 rally platform...... which is the best rally chassis I have driven. My mate has the Lancia Delta on the XVO1, front mounted motor, belt driven..... and an absolute delight to drive! Highly recommended if you like that authentic rally experience! Take care man, and have fun with that TTO2 project! 👍 👍 👍

What fan is that?amazon or Michaels rc at the mall?
@scaleworksRCАй бұрын
It came with the heat sink I bought at Michael's RC but it's working voltage is 7-8 volts, so it won't spin. The receiver is putting out between 5-6 volts, so I have been running it with no fan the whole time. There are fans that work, just a bit of a pain to find on their own. I have one from an old ESC and the ones that come with the MJX Hyper-Gos will work
