The parts are pretty hard to come by at least here in the north east. I haven’t been to brownies hobbies in a while (Staten Island, NY), but recently went to a store closer to me in NJ looking for replacement spur gears, HPI high temp grease, brake disc, and possibly replacement parts for my 18ss engine (RS4 3 Type SS car) and they didn’t have much of anything for HPI and they’re one of the few HPI authorized dealers here in NJ/PA. Gonna be ordering my stuff on eBay to fix my car.

i had an FW-06 with a Benz Touring body when i was a teenager. honestly, other than a different body and a black cooling block, i am surprised how little has changed since i bought mine in 2011.

hey dude! Very good observation, you're correct. I noticed that right after this recoding too. I think there was a minor assembly error with the fuel tank, because it was mounted in the incorrect location (we fixed t after). Luckily no leaks and its fine now.

hey dude! Let me answer you, YES! you most definitely can use any starter box. There is good room for the starter box though the chassis and you should have no issues with that.

A locked front differential seems crazy. I bet it is prone to breaking with all that nitro power. I prefer an open diff.

If its anything like the HPI one, there's 2 screws. One you tighten fully so the 2 gears grip onto the shaft, and the other determines when it shifts. Tighten both all the way in then loosen the shifting one out 3 full turns.

@@rclatino3442 One other thing to check is that the part with those 2 screws in it is fitted the correct way round. I know on mine it's easy to put it in backwards if you're not careful, then the little arm on it that flicks up to engage the 2nd gear has nothing to catch on.
