That's very close to how mine is gonna look, but I'm gonna get the white cage when it's back in stock again. Pretty sure I have paint ripped off in no time :) Fitting the ESC and reciever was a bit of hassle but I got it done. Even though it's expensive I just couldn't resist getting the Le Mans brushless ESC and motor for this awesome buggy.

Wheels and tires are perfect. Add the Kyosho stickers to the top chassis tube. Paint the wing mount white. It’s just so nice 👍🏻 You just made the Javelin super cool 😎

Excellent finish...leave the decals and the white detail on the black wheels alone. I would try some red anodized wheel nuts to match the red shocks. Do the wing mount in white, I think you're correct that it'd add to the roll cage/body. Can't wait to see this car in some action shots!

If you love it now wait until you drive it! Love it look. Might do the same with mine. I’ve already got the white cage and always planed do it. It a runner at the moment though because it handles so well I’ve left the orange cage on. Chain hold up to 2s lipo as well 👍

The best part of the golden era was that manufacturers had the hobbyist in mind in design so scale was just as important as performance. When racing hit main stream in the early 90s, the hobby kind of floundered. Manufacturers need to return to the hobbyist in my mind and release kit *only* with a huge emphasis on innovative design and scale fun! Take some darned risks!!!!

Waowww! Lovely!!! If mine has not been stolen I would have definitely gone for the white cage! Only thing in this kit is the space to insert the receiver and the esc. That is why they did this huge driver so that you can pit the receiver below. Tamiya driver much better though. Then the receiver will have to go below. Should fit anyway. Plan a small esc… the 1060 was Ok even if the surface to glue it with double face is small. Lovely artwork as usual Glenn! Have fun driving it, it’s a true pleasure how smooth it is running!!

I personally love the orange as I'm a Mopar guy, if you know...you know Ha ha. I'm going full kyosho with the electronics and brushed with the Le Mans 490. I'm building it all under the camera and will post my very first video of it soon. The video is going to be so "green" but got to start somewhere. Thanks for being such a great influence 🤜🤛

The Javelin is one of THE BEST looking RC buggies from the 80's. 😎👍👍 IMHO, of course. It looks even better with a white cage and black wheels...though I might be biased as I have one just like it. 😁 Now you've got me really tempted to add some carbon to mine as well! 😅 Got to say, it looks much better with a different driver figure. I’ve actually run it now with a 21t brushed motor on 2s. Tbh it was a little slow on the tarmac but it was off the chart on the gravel 🤩 I was honestly blown away with just how good it handles 😎👊🏻

That looks epic, the bolt details are a nice touch too breaks up the solid block of colour the wheels would have otherwise. almost sure its a case of less is more on the decals or perhaps add something representing race wins along the side rails like tank barrel rings using micron tape. now I'm back to collecting Kyosho tokens :D

Nice work. Had to get a Javelin ReRe after seeing yours and others builds with the white bars. Looks awesome. Only thing that bugs me is the shock red plastic is not a good match for the aluminium shock cylinder, so I've found the shock plastic parts in black from the Optima: OT210BK, looks like they could sort the shocks.

I would personally try that extra decal on the roll bar as I think they look great. My first proper rc car, the Zerda was a caged car so I know how awesome they can be. Very, very cool! I never really liked the Javelin, so this changes my whole view on this Kyosho kit!! Absolutely love the overall look of your car - the only thing that looks off to me is the see through middle chassis, where the drivers feet would have been. Maybe some black sideplates to cover that up (maybe with some decals on ?). Edit: Just realized that space will be filled in by the electronics.

Looks fantastic! I have the Kyosho white cage, and white Optima wheels on mine. Same carbon kit as yours too. However, still have kit tires, and larger driver figure. Would love to use the Tamiya figure, but my receiver mounts to the top deck, the kit driver is designed large to hide it.

Looks awesome driver yes decals look just right as is. I feel the difference between kit and aftermarket tyres isnt big enough to warrant the expense but love the black rims. Its a gorgeous RC dunno if prefere white over the orange but it's cool non the less buddy! 😁👍
